Big Red

Hillbilly rock for the masses

About Me

Big Red began as a solo project for River when Six Foot Fall split. Crazypay (ex-Six Foot Fall drummer, current Five Will Die guitarist) was drafted in on drums 'cos River's a shit guitarist with even worse timing. The plan was to write stuff and then get in musicians to play them properly. The plan didn't work out. Then Damn Van X (ex-Decoy X) came on the scene. He took a listen to the recordings of River and Crazypay and started writing stuff with that style in mind. The difference was that Damn was a real guitarist. So all they needed was a bassist. The obvious choice was Cowboy Dave, ex-Six Foot Fall guitarist. He added the oomph that was needed. From there Big Red started writing and gigging, ending up with what you hear on this site. Big Red mix rock, blues and a little bit of country to make a truly original sound. If you like what you hear, let us know. If not, keep it to yourself
