The Brewhouse Blues Band exploded onto the scene just three months ago by winning the Dundalk FM battle of the bands held in Silence nightclub and it was their very first gig. The three piece made up of, James Humston, (guitar & vocals) Paul Mallon (bass & vocals) and Mark Duffy (drums), have been welcomed as a breath of fresh air by music goers with their old school attitude and approach. The band can only be described as dirty blues rock, playing many originals and old favourites from legends such as Clapton, Hendrix and Peter Green. The band have been gigging relentlessly and gaining a strong and rapidly growing following. Rather impressive considering the band only been playing together since Feburary 2007. This is not just another local band. This is proof that blues is alive and well, in a saturated bland rock climate. These lads are fired up and ready to bring music back to its roots. Believe the hype.
