About Chef Angela
Chef Angela Gorham is the newest rising star in the culinary industry. She received her degree in A.O.S. Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management from the ART Institute of New York, (formally known as the Restaurant School), one of the premier cooking institutes in the nation, where she graduated with honors. While at the Art Institute, Chef Angela honed her skills under the tutelage of chefs who are regarded as some of the nations top cooking instructors. In 2004, she was the recipient of the prestigious International Scholarship from the renowned organization, Les Dames Escoffier, which counts Julia Childs as a member. The International Scholarship is exclusively awarded to female culinary students who encompass the attributes of a visionary in the hospitality field. Chef Angela completed her externship at the esteemed Tao Asian Bistro, located in New York City, which is one of the most celebrated and innovative Pan Asian Restaurants throughout the nation. At Tao, she worked under the leadership of the highly regarded Executive Chef Sam Hazen, who was impressed with her professionalism and initiative. Armed with her culinary skills and creative foresight, Chef Angela takes pleasure in creating meals with flavors and textures that awaken the senses and please the palate. She uses only the freshest seasonal herbs, produce, meats and seafood available. Early on, Chef Angela realized the importance of being a well rounded chef and sought to diversify her cooking repertoire by incorporating specialty cuisines such as vegan, pan asian and floribean to name a few in her gamut. Chef Angela is passionate about customizing and designing menus that are pleasurable to one’s taste buds as well as focusing on healthy, nutritionally balanced meals. To further this ideal, she has created “Lifestyle Cuisine†designed to create refreshing culinary delights tailored to meet the specific needs and lifestyle demands of her clients. She has set out to make a unique and impressive mark in the cooking community.
