Bio:Jessica grew up in Denver, Colorado. Music has always been such a large part of her life. Her whole family is very talented, and they surrounded her with music since birth. Jessica started off by taking piano lessons. It was her mother's choice, and though she is now grateful, at the time, she absolutely hated it.
Bass playing began in the fourth grade for Jessica. She started off on stand-up bass, playing classical music in any orchestra or symphony she could get into.
It wasn't until she got into high school, and started playing in jazz and rock bands that she fell in love with the electric bass. She was (and still is) greatly influenced by Adam Clayton of U2, Live, John Paul Jones, Paul McCartney and James Jamerson. Especially Jamerson.
After she graduated high school, she didn't know what she wanted to do, but when she got the opportunity to travel and play music, she jumped at the chance. She ended up spending the next year touring with Up With People, a Broadway-style musical. It took her all over the U.S., Europe and Canada. When she got off the road, Jessica decided to try another career path and went into emergency medicine, where she worked on ambulances and was a 911 dispatcher. But music kept on relentlessly calling her, so she packed up and moved to Los Angeles five years ago to attend the Los Angeles Music Academy and try to pursue making a living as a musician.
Since moving to L.A., she's played with over fifty singer/songwriters, all original music, in most clubs across Southern California. She's enjoyed recording in studios on thirty different albums in a vast array of styles and genres, and has done many national and world-wide tours. She's been seen in music videos on Fox and MTV, as well as appearances on Vh1 and Spike TV and several independent films. Jessica enjoys long walks on the beach, strawberry shortcake, and whitewater rafting. :)
