Jennifer Argenti

Originally from Maryland, Jennifer graduated from the Baltimore School for the Arts (other alumni Tupac Shakur, Jada Pinkett Smith), studied violin performance at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music in Cleveland, Ohio, and has performed in local recitals and throughout the US, eastern Europe, Canada, Taiwan and most recently France. She is a 17 year veteran of the Santa Monica Symphony and the Kaplan String Quartet and has continued her life-long study of violin at music festivals including the world renown Mark O’Connor fiddle camps in California and Nashville, studied in Master classes with Angella Ahn (The Ahn Trio), rock violinist Mark Wood (Mark Wood Violins, Trans Siberian Orchestra), jazz violinist Sara Caswell and fiddlers Yale Strom, Darol Anger, and Buddy Spicher. This past year she studied blues/rock/jazz at the California College of Music and received a scholarship for jazz performance at the Colburn School of Music.She has appeared in commercials and the popular ABC television show The Bachelor, playing violin. She toured with actor and musician Ronny Cox (Deliverance, Beverly Hills Cop, Stargate) playing country/folk music and has shared the stage with celebrated musicians such as bassist Freebo (Bonnie Raitt), Scottish international recording artist Tom MacLear (Rod Stewart, Badfinger) and famed Latino pop singer Marco Antonio Solis. She recently aired as featured artist in a two part series on Supreme Master Television and recorded with Milan Record's WEST INDIAN GIRL, popular for their hit song 'What Are You Afraid Of' on the television show One Tree Hill and can be heard on their latest album '4th & Wall'. Jennifer has just completed recording albums with The Mannish Boy's award winning blues bassist Tom Leavey, Indie rock artist Dakotafish, Richie James Follin of the acclaimed garage rock band THE WILLOWZ and country singer Laura Roppe with whom she recently won runner up in the KENNY CHESNEY Next Big Star Competition and has just been nominated by LA Music Awards for COUNTRY ALBUM OF THE YEAR.She returned from a tour in France with French pop icon Jeanne Mas whose album 'Be West', on which Jennifer can be heard throughout, reached TOP 10 sales in Virgin Megastores France and iTunes France. Jennifer's current projects are the soundtrack to Bobby Field's upcoming feature film The Bridge and a tribute album to DANIEL ASH's LOVE & ROCKETS called 'NEW TALES TO TELL' featuring Charlie & The Valentine Killers due out in July 2009. Her latest shows include performing with Richie James Follin of THE WILLOWZ, guitarist MICHAEL EINZIGER of INCUBUS and opening for LITTLE FEAT, THE REVEREND HORTON HEAT and THE HEAD CAT (SLIM JIM, DANNY B & LEMMY). Upcoming TV appearances and live shows will be with Bobby Fields, Charlie & The Valentine Killers, Laura Roppe and J.R. Richards of DISHWALLA. Jennifer's other passions include environmental conservation, animal ethics and surfing. She holds the 2007 WSA women's shortboard West Coast Champion title.
