About Me

i consider myself to be a life-loving, passionate, cynical person...and by cynical i mean quick to analyze and reason based on objective facts that i know to be true, not jaded or negative. I'm a little neurotic, but I'm pretty peaceful and relaxed, too.i work out at the gym all the time. it will always be this way, and this routine TRULY MAKES ME HAPPY.i am happy in LA...i like the cultural diversity within the city, the aesthetic of it, both the glamourous party surface and the real city that you come to see and feel over time.i have tried in many ways to divorce myself from the complacent petty robotic mindset that comes with the suburban area of new jersey, USA where i grew up, and likewise from the set of unrealistic bourgeouis values my parents hoped to instill in me. i feel mad comfortable with how far i have come away from this. there will always be room for me to learn, to listen and continue to open my mind and thus arrive at new truths…now the hard facts…i really like: -experimentation, in general. -vampy lookin women -seafood -spontaneousness (spontaneity?) -DIY skincare products from skinactives.com -whales -how everything looked from particularly 1943-1966. even earlier too damn! -cutting shirts and sewing them to be smaller/cooler, etc. -futuristic electronic sounds."i would happily lose both of my legs, if it meant you could be free."

My Interests

music, reading, subculture, unionizing, shows, buying and fooling around with makeup, drawing eyebrows, costumes, sewing (i wish i was better at it), physical and cultural anthropology, sociology, capitalism, communism, anarchism, materialism, socialism, the study of history in general, kitsch, understanding the roots of social conventions, black nationalism, cultural resistance, technology, fetish, goodwill, uprooting stereotypes, dance, tracksuits, vintage 20's thru 60's fashion, art projects, pinups, stilettos, the sciences, aesthetics, pirating music, politics, epistemology, graphic novels and some comics, health/fitness, art history, acting, performance art, surveying and pondering LA, LA culture, cruisin around in my convertible, mental exploration, figuring out how i learn and think, people watching, monitored mind expansion, energy drinks, natural foods, collecting things, formal dress events, day-to-day observation, go-go dancing, sexy peoples, traditional outdoor activities (hiking, canoeing, all that), protests, religious iconography, plastic surgery, mild forms of cosplay, skincare, androgyny, stripper shoes.

I'd like to meet:

i would just like to take a minute to say that i am SICK of fake ass people around here who think they are the shit just to mask the fact that they're just bitter, purposeless and souless. i fuckin am getting sick n tired of people being nice to my face one minute then acting like they don't know me the next. i am really starting to get what people mean when they say LA is full of FAKE+ANNOYING people!!! my friend was right. some people just don't know how to stop being superficial. i have wanted to look past the stereotype and have FUN out here but noooooo...it prevails and i have seen it! sooo this means...if you associate w/ other people based only on how they dress or the music they like or the fact that they're in the same scene ratrace as you...i personally feel sorry for you because you're fuckin immature as hell and somehow the real point of living life and enjoying it missed you.

Television:

Get Your Own! | View Slideshow TV subliminally fosters rascist notions, reinforces backwards and archaic gender stereotypes, and it's purpose is to keep you from becoming a discerning dissenter and remain stupified by the vast array of consumer options available in this and other industrialized nations which maintain their standards of living through the exploitation of the (human) labor and economic resources of third world countries. some supporting arguments to back up my claims: who has ever seen a show or commercial on tv that features, either as primary or supporting cast members, an interracial couple? i mean, without hyperfocusing on that ascpect of it or making an example of the fact somehow! is there social significance to the fact that commercials for cleaning/household and also child-related products(food, children's over the counter medications, etc) almost always feature a female describing and attesting to the value of the product? who is telling us what to do here. the superstructure is intricately woven; it's at our fingertips and forced under our noses everywhere we turn. you can't be human today and not be exposed to the very kind of consumerist ideology that the engineers of the state are paid billions to propagate. no matter how common it is for people to have it, i think cable is an enormous waste of money and time...
