About Me

Been involved in the Rockabilly scene since 1991. Moved to northern Califonia in 1993. Started DJ ing in Frisco in Fall of 1994 for a number of venues, Ace Cafe, DNA Lounge, Bimbos 365 club including my own college radio show On KSUN 98.1 FM. Fond memories attaining record hop experience for "The Greaseball" held annually thru 95-97 for old pal promoter Augie Ramone. Graduated College and "The School of Rock and Roll" in 1998. Moved back to the city of angels and got the itch To DJ once again for Rich of Black Cat Entertaiment in 2001, and been at it ever since, and for any one who will have me! To support my vices I am a film and motion graphics editor for Gold Pictures, check out my company site, www.goldpictures.com. I am real excited right now I just bought a clean 1953 chevy 2-door post, going to make it a Kustom (you ride and you slide). I use to have a 54 chevy for a long time but I wrecked it on the way to vegas in 2001:(. By the way, when you play some killer cuts on the dance floor and you roll out at the end of the night in a honda, it doesn't cut it cat!

Cat Clothes are the most!
Elvis showing you how it's done boss!
Influences: I Love the whole spectrum of rockin underground indie 1950's tunes as well as 40's race muisc that that got the whole mess started. After many years of spening lots of dough and meeting a compulsive collecting habit, I have concluded there is a whole wealth of under heard super talented musicians yet to be discovered especially in the current climate of reissues and remastering. If I had to throw out a couple of standard obcurties in R&B they would be Doc Starkes and the Niteriders, The Du droppers, Roy Brown, and Jimmy Preston, Screamin Joel Neal, Don Covay...... In Rockabilly - Ronnie Self, Charlie Feathers, Bob Luman, Benny Joy, Billy Barrix and Sonny Burgess.... Rock and Roll - Larry Williams, Link Wray, Ralph Neilson and the chancellors , Locos Del Ritmo, Los teen tops, and Freddy Fender...ect. Rockin Blues, Bunker hill, Arthur Gunter, Otis Rush ect. The List goes on and on - entering Real Deal obscurity! Also I must say I do like and play (depending on the venue) the neo stuff too, the Nitros, Buzz and the flyers, the Franitic Flattops, the Go Getters, Rip Carson.....
