About Me

Untitled Document So it's like this: In brief, I worked out what 'hippie' meant sometime in my early teens and never looked back. Now I know what 'old hippie' means and I'm just about getting used to it. ...Went to the Stonehenge free festival at an impressionable age, kept going back, helped set up Club Dog, went to loads more free festivals back when they were still 'free' then co-ran Megadog ( www.megadog.co.uk ) for more years than I can remember and finally set up Planet Dog Records ( www.planetdogrecords.com ). DJ'd for more years than I can remember, playing everything from bangin' hard trance to house, drum n' bass and all manner of chillout tunes (not in the same set though!). Still dabble. The full story will come as soon as I can edit it down from 1000005 words! In the meantime, talking of writing, I've co-written an album with my old mate Steve Rowlands from Full Moon Scientist, the first recording project I've been involved in for a little while. It's called 133 Thursdays and is available now on Interchill Records ( www.interchill.com ) catalogue number ICHILLCD028. The tracks on this page are from the album. You can check out all the album tracks at www.pushmipulyu.com or the full(er) Pushmipulyu story at www.myspace.com/pushmipulyu . Go on, it'll only take a couple of minutes!!

WE'VE JUST COMPLETED A VIDEO FOR OUR TRACK 'REVERIE' CALLED PUSHMIS GO MAD IN THE BLUEBELLS. AN OBJECT LESSON IN HOW NOT TO TAKE YOURSELF TOO SERIOUSLY! HAVE A LOOK AT THIS AND PLAY IT RIGHT TO THE END:

Solfest was fantastic this year and we had a lot of fun running the Dogs in Space chillout tent. Eat Static, Another Green World, Mirrorsystem, Nodens Ictus, Buntyface, Sangha, Steve Rowlands and 2.2 Killavolt Cables all played live, accompanied by some excellent DJ sets from too many people to mention and some excellent live performance from Ultravision. It's without a doubt, the best small festival in the UK and I thoroughly recommend that you get your tickets in early for next year as this year's festival sold out within 2 weeks of the tickets going on sale in April. http://www.solwayfestival.co.uk for more information. Have a look at the photos in the PHOTOS section of this page. Check back in a while and I might just have managed to write something a little deeper/more cosmic /more informative but for now, thanks for having a look at this page and remember...

Live each day as if it were your last one on earth and one day...you'll be right!

(Dr Murray Banks) Or if you prefer...

It's never too late to have a happy childhood!

(from a sign that greeted arrivals every year at the entrance to the Stonehenge free festival)
