Add to My Profile | More VideosAnother Green World are the ultimate chill out, featuring ethereal keyboard wizard Paul Chousmer and psychonaut saxophonist Dan 'Spannerman' Carpenter. Between them producing an eclectic blend of electronica, woodwind and percussion, with melodies strongly influenced by the likes of Erik Satie, Holger Czukay, the Klezmer tradition and Lee 'Scratch' Perry
They came together for their first performance, an extended 4 hour improvisation, in Chislehurst caves, in 1984 (on a psychedelic mystery trip organised by Christian Paris of London underground club Alice in Wonderland).
In the years since their formation they have witnessed the birth of Club Dog, played live parachute sets at Whirl-Y-Gig, appeared at Megadog, The Big Chill and Return To The Source, became stalwarts of the festival scene, appearing regularly at WOMAD, Phoenix and Guildford festivals, also the early Glastonbury festivals, and a host of free festies and benefit gigs - anyone remember the Blue House in Hackney? - recent performances include SOLFEST in Cumbria and 'Faery Fest' in Cornwall,
AGW contributed to a wealth of compilation albums including several Planet Dog, Return To The Source and Whirl-Y-Gig releases
In 1996, Another Green World joined Magick Eye Records and released the CD 'Invisible Landscape'

Influences: Here we are we where are we here?
Who could imagine you could freak out the oily way in the cradle
Bright and full of destination through the transformation and reversing out of time but its ok
Its ok- get ready already reedy reddy although it looks more like green to me
Although it sounds more like green
Lots of green hats making green sounds that sound like green hats making green hat sounds
I asked a friend to describe all the things you could be if you would only stay still enough to pass through into the dangle
This is where the goats have soft hooves through lack of contact with surface and if you join in
Droplets meander to the glide ride of pull intense tent pent
Tent and the foot. Tent foot. Foot pent. Mind in absence
Less bright and montage follows through the reeds...........
Breeze and goats................
I eye ail.

. . . . . . . . . .

Another Green World met en scène deux personnages : Dan Carpenter (Saxophone et Flûtiste) et Paul Chousmer (Multi-instrumentiste).
