We are the Eastern Long Island Chapter of The Surfrider Foundation , a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our worldâ€™s oceans, waves and beaches. Founded in 1984 by a handful of visionary surfers in Malibu, California, the Surfrider Foundation now maintains over 50,000 members and 80 chapters worldwide. My Interests

The Eastern Long Island Chapter is dedicated to maintaining and acquiring beach and ocean access rights, preserving our coastline and improving the overall quality of Long Island's coastal environment.

In year 2007, the Montauk Lighthouse Revetment , East Hampton Coastal Legislation , and NY State Parks Access issues will definitely have an impact upon local beaches. Join us, get involved and have a voice.
