Influences: Many, many, many. Always influenced by Trane, Dexter, King Curtis, Sonny, Wayne Shorter, Grover Washington, and Joe Henderson. More recently Joe Lovano, Dewey Redman, Chris Speed, Eddie Harris, and Tony Malaby. That's a lot of sax players so add Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Dave Douglas, Mark Helias, and Cuong Vu to name a few. That's a lot of Jazz musicians so add David Bowie, Robert Smith, Sly Stone, Stevie Wonder, Bela Bartok, Alban Berg, Prince, uhh... This is a lot of musicians so add Tom Robbins, Hunter S. Thompson, Allan Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac, and anybody who tries to deal in truth and beauty. There's more but this is hard enough as it is.
Sounds Like: Probably nothing like the people I claim have influenced me...
