Femmixx.com, The Home of Female Music Producers, DJ’s & Emcees presents this ground-breaking documentary. This film highlights five talented female music producers and their journeys to earn respect and success in a field not always known for supporting women as music producers.

Laticia “T.C.” Lewis - Is currently the director of her band "The Power of Soul." The band performs various styles of music such as R&B, neo soul, gospel, jazz, and funk. It includes keyboard, violin, lead guitar, bass, and drums. She is also working on a contemporary gospel album which will include collaborations with other instrumentalists and singers. She independently produced her first Christmas album entitled “Holiday Heat.”
Stephanie “Diverse” Whittaker - Two time beat battle champion who's been featured in publications and venues such as Metro Weekly, Groundlift Magazine. Grind Mode Magazine and DaveyD.com. Diverse is headed towards longevity as she makes a name for herself in the music industry.
Josie Carr - Owner of Night Owl Studio located in New York City, she has worked with artists such as Mobb Deep, DJ Premier, Mary J. Blige and Patti Labelle. Currently Ms. Carr is working with artists such as 7evn and L.S.D. (Lost Soulz Divided). Carr has also hit the stage as an artist, performing hip hop & Reggaeton and is becoming “The New Voice of Latin Females.”
Shakti - “The Indian Hip Pop Diva” who has international following is currently performing at various venues worldwide and will be releasing her official single this summer along with ringtones. Presently she has launched the Shakti Boutique and co-runs Global Soul Entertainment, Inc.
Jewel Brown - Started out as a DJ and transitioned into music production. Brown is currently working with Indie artists, honing her craft to be known as a viable force in the music industry and is running her company, For The Love Productions out of Jersey City, NJ.

Tachelle “Shamash” Wilkes, Director/Executive Producer - Poet/teacher/journalist and founder of Femmixx.com. Tachelle has written for publications such as Vibe, The Source, Elemental, The Ave, and One World Magazine where she is known for highlighting women’s and community issues. As an artist she has opened for KRS-One and Doug E. Fresh and been featured on WWRL Radio, ABC News and Hispanics Today on NBC. As an educator she rallies around hip hop and healing infused education. Under her mentorship her students have performed at the United Nations Conference on Healing Through the Arts and developed Flav Teen Magazine. Tachelle holds a BA in English with a concentration in secondary education from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University and an MA in American Literature from Brooklyn College.

* Is hitting the film festival circuit as an official selection for the Austin Women's Film and Music Festival(Austin, TX), Hip Hop Odyssey International Film Festival (NYC), Atlanta Hip Hop Film Festival (Atlanta, Georgia) and the Sol International Film Festival (Norfolk, Virginia). More coming!!
* Is committed to empowering our communities of all ages and cultures through screenings and discussions with the filmmaker and ladies of the film. We've screened at the Lower East Side Girls Club (NYC) and will be screening at Barnard College's Gender Amplified Conference (NYC), Medgar Evers College Class (Brooklyn, NY), Hip Hop Giving Back, JHS 275 (Brooklyn, NY) and other schools and community organizations.

Celebrating five years of Hip-Hop Cinema, Education, Art and Culture, the H2O [Hip-Hop Odyssey] International Film Festival (H2OIFF) showcases a kaleidoscope of Hip-Hop filmmakers and communities from around the world. Taking place from May 28, 2007 – June 15, 2007 at the ImaginAsian Theatre in New York City and culminating with the hallmark Odyssey Awards hosted by Ed Lover and Paul Mooney at BB Kings Club and Grill on Saturday, June 16th. Over the course of three weeks, H2OIFF will screen over 80 films from over 10 countries; produce 9 panel discussions on topics ranging from social justice issues to spirituality to the future of media distribution.
