"Film will only became an art when its materials are as inexpensive as pencil and paper."

Jean Cocteau

"Movie directors, or should I say people who create things, are very greedy and they can never be satisfied... That's why they can keep on working. I've been able to work for so long because I think next time, I'll make something good."

Akira Kurosawa

"The film of tomorrow will be an act of love."

"The film of tomorrow will not be directed by civil servants of the camera, but by artists for whom shooting a film constitutes a wonderful and thrilling adventure."

"The film of tomorrow will resemble the person who made it, and the number of spectators will be proportional to the number of friends the director has."

Francois Truffaut

"I'm just trying to tell a good story and make thought-provoking, entertaining films. I just try and draw upon the great culture we have as a people, from music, novels, the streets."

"Fight the power that be. Fight the power."
