About Me

Introduction
Welcome to Americans Are Brainwashed! This profile was designed to be a progressive resource for anyone looking to decorate their profiles with political art or learn how to take action for the causes they support. Please browse our gallery of independent artwork and feel free to download, edit, and/or redistribute our images. You will undoubtedly find positions that you disagree with, but keep in mind that disagreement is crucial to the sustenance of a participatory society.
More so than desiring to encourage a strictly "liberal" perspective, we seek to spread knowledge and awareness so to end the era of apathy that's preventing our citizens from rightfully playing a part in the political process of today. Whether you consider yourself conservative or liberal (or choose to avoid labels altogether), we hope that our profile inspires you to take action and be a voice for your convictions. Enjoy!
Download our full collection of 4,600+ political images! We've spent four years designing, sharing and gathering independently produced political artwork from local artists, internet acquaintances, alternative publications and multinational political gatherings. Each image is offered in its original size and format.

The biggest problem in our country today is how detached our citizens are from the political process. How can we influence our politicians to tackle issues like healthcare and poverty if people shrug off politics as being unchangeable and boring? The more people get involved with making social change on a local level, the stronger our communities will become and the greater impact we'll have on the future of our country and the world.
Meetup.com is a social networking website that encourages people to get together in person to share common interests. While sites like MySpace and Facebook are funded solely by advertising revenue, Meetup generates income by charging fees to members who facilitate their own group(s), making it their top priority to get as many people out of their homes and involved with local communities as possible.
Membership is free to anyone simply looking to attend events for interests as varied as Chihuahuas to Ultimate Frisbee in the Dark to Dennis Kucinich for President . Check it out!
Here's a list of suggestions for ways to get involved, ranging from the obvious to the obscure. If you have additional thoughts, please send them our way .
