VOX

VOX is a contemporary trio creating repertoire for a new sound concept. The trio is comprised of new music advocates Lindsey Goodman, Lisa Pegher, and Victoria Bass. This flute, percussion , and cello ensemble looks for new possiblities of tonal color, virtuosity and expression from a previously unexplored instrumental combination. Commissioning is at the heart of VOX and the trio is dedicated to bringing life to new works of both established and promising composers. By using every potential combination: trio, duo, and solo-with collaboratvie artists-VOX offers a wide range of creative possibliities for the performers, composers and audience.In their debut season, VOX premiered new music by David Stock, Brett William Dietz, Chad Heiny, and Chris Lee with performances in Baton Rouge (Louisiana State and Southern Universities), Houston (Rice Shepherd School of Music), and Pittsburgh (Duquesne University). For the 2007-2008 season, the trio will bring more new works by talented composers to additional locations through an expanded touring season.
