"Andrea Fisher is that rare combination of Classical training, technical ability and the feel-factor for contemporary music forms. Crossover may be an overworked term, but Andrea can cross musical boundaries with the best of them. And it didn’t hurt Uncle Jimmy Galway, either…."Ian Anderson, Jethro Tull
FluterScooter “Andrea Fisher†was born in the rural community of Bethlehem near Philadelphia, PA. Andrea is beginning to make quick strides toward her goals, which brought in jobs from John Legend, 50 Cent, Jethro Tull, Herbie Hancock and Marcus Miller, and shows at Carnegie Hall. She was most recently featured in the New York Times and on Stars Sirius Satellite Radio.
Andrea recently performed the National Anthem at Madison Square Garden for the Knicks, and at the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the Lakers. She is currently featured on John Legend’s sophomore album “ Once Again," and has performed with Legend on Good Morning America, Madison Square Garden, and is featured on his live DVD, "Live from Philadelphia." Her piccolo playing and production skills can be heard on 50 Cent's newly released album, “Curtis."
Andrea Fisher’s rise to stardom is comparable to that of a shooting star. Since her first public performance as a youth Andrea has literally transformed herself from a gifted pre-adolescent into a mature international success.
Andrea’s parents introduced her to the family piano at the age of 3. After taking piano lessons at age 4, Andrea was able to entertain the entire family by identifying notes then playing back whatever she heard by ear. Andrea quickly developed the ability to perform live. These early performances for her family, led Andrea to begin taking flute lessons at 9. She then seized the opportunity to learn the bassoon and organ, playing virtually every middle and high school event in her hometown.
Before leaving Bethlehem Andrea played with various bands and choirs, and at 13 she studied with the principal flutist of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Andrea also played organ for her church in Bethlehem, which led to a tour in Italy where she gave a performance for the Pope in the Vatican.
Andrea attended the Juilliard School of Music where she successfully completed and received her bachelors and masters degrees in flute performance. Andrea was also able to study music technology at Juilliard; this is where she was introduced to Pro Tools and other computer programs. Privately she studied Indian flute and Japanese flute.
Andrea has managed to top her previous successes. Over all, Fluterscooter is as humbled as she is thrilled by her accomplishments, but she remains reflective and grateful.
Andrea not only produces and composes music for Artists, but also Television Programs, Commercials, Film SoundTracks, Video Games, Ringtones, and internet.
She is also available for solo or collaborative classical, jazz, pop, hiphop, and rnb bookings.
