Cindy Newman grew up in a small town in the South Carolina Lowcountry. She spent her childhood days hunting, fishing and chewing sourweed with her friends. Cindy’s natural curiosity to see the world took her to Europe where she became a multi-platinum award-winning songwriter for some of Europe’s greatest artists. Cindy’s Southern Roots, her unbreakable ties to the past and her wish to finally tell her own story brought her back to where she belongs.
Cindy Newman’s songs reflect childhood memories, forgotten voices of the past and the charm of living in Small Town America. While her music is influenced by Buddy Miller, Patty Griffin and Emmylou Harris, her songs are unique and compelling. Join her on a trip down the back roads and listen to the subtle sounds of the Deep South.
Cindy is currently in the studio recording her debut CD.
