I had a great life there in a small community with some really great friends. Brought a lot of great memories outta' there. Something to be said for the Midwest. I believe that. I wanted to run though....., so I did. I've lived in Mississippi, Texas, Louisiana, and now in Tennessee, and honestly I don't know if I'm home yet or not. As long as my family is with me, I feel home. I wanted to play music....., so I did. I've done lots of things I wished I hadn't, but I can't change any of that, not since the second in time it happened. So I've learned to live in the present the best that I can. I wanted to write songs and be in the music business, so I sacrificed nearly everything that I had and came to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue that. The pay sucks pretty hard. The roller coaster ride is harder. And the sacrifices hurt more. In spite of those few minor snags, I've met some truly amazing people. Made some great friends and have been taught and learned some invaluable lessons. For you who are reading this, it may be boring....., probably is......, but thanks for coming this far, because it feels good for me to say it. I appreciate where I am and I think thats what we need to strive for. There are places I'd like to be, things I'd like to be doing, and successes I'd like to achieve. But for now it's more important to be good where I am or with what I'm doing. Let me say thanks for listening to some of my songs. I guess that's one of the two reasons I write them. I tried not to for quite some time and it didn't work out for me inside. But without someone to hear them, well it really leaves quite a void just as troublesome. So really......, thank you.
