As one of the true pioneers of dance in the South African industry, Warren Lissack is a musical genius who has been a key player in getting the dance culture to the status it is today. With a solid 14 years of pleasing South African crowds he has the skills and ability to take any audience on a musical journey that will have them screaming for more. Not only renowned for his crowd pleasing talent, he also worked behind the scenes to ensure the décor created an ambiance that guaranteed visual perfection. Also as an experienced sound engineer he can ensure excellent sound resulting in musical bliss. Pharcyde productions, Vortex, Rave co., Rabbit Hole Productions, Mother Productions, Synergy, Sleaze Syndicate, etc held some of the most memorable events that brought international acts such as Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, John Digweed, Ian Ossia, Dave Seaman, Nigel Dawson, Danny Rampling, Carl Cox, Paul Van Dyk, Pete Tong, Judge Jules, Commander Tom, Lisa Lashes, Tall Paul, Mark spoon, Tony de Vit, Malcolm Duffy, Luvdup, Nick Warren, Allister Whitehead, Armand Van Helden, Deep Dish, Frankie Knuckles, Teoshi Suzuki, etc. to name a few where Warren played alongside the world's finest. He has also played with just about every local Dj like - Lady Lea, Rob White, Dino Moran, Rene Theron, Gavin Fitchie, Dr. Anton, Dodgey B., Chriss Class, Nick E Louder, Bruno Morphet, Nick E Louder, Dan Dare, Toby Allen, Stuart H, The list is endless. He has held residencies and played at clubs since the dawning of the dance era until today ranging from The Power Station, Nexus, D-lite, Boiler Room, G-spot Lounge, Deviate, Rush, Piano Lounge, The Zone, Spyce, The Fez, Café Dharma, Long Beach Café , Dune, Rhythm Divine, All Bar Non, The Function, Baraza, Q-Bar, Fiction, Truth, SuDaDa, Kalahari Klik, Escobar, Opium etc. Warren is a master craftsman who will never be forgotten by those who were there .....or those who experience him today. Now located in Johannesburg, Warren travels regularly to Cape Town and plays sets all over the country. "After taking a few years off for some soul searching Warren has returned to his favorite passion in his own famous fashion" – to quote Dino Moran when he interviewed Warren on his return to the radio airwaves on GoodHopeFm on the nightwatchmen show. Warren IS back reinventing himself again. This time his music and taste is more mature, yet uplifting and accessible. Warren has never been one to be put in a box or categorised. His style has always been eclectic and often moves seamlessly from one genre to another constantly building and moving people. Warren has been known to play epic length sets taking people on a musical journey that encompasses numerous styles but makes perfect sense in the Dj Warren Experience. Watch out this is a force to be reckoned with! In previous years he has been featured on 5fm, GoodhopeFm, UCT radio (with Nick e Louder and Chris Klass which has branched out into MuthaFM), C'Flat, CapeTownFM. He has also produced two independent records that are featured on the Future Sounds of Cape Town in conjunction with Polygram and Kim Saville Productions. " . I have released a few tracks most notably 'Wild at heart' on the Future Sound Of Cape Town CD"When shopping for music Warren says, 'I don't go out to buy whats supposed to be "cool". I buy what moves me, cause if i hear something that has HEART, i know others will feel something when they hear it too.' Its all about HEART with Warren and its hard not to get excited by his passion for his art. It is obvious that he loves what he does, and anyone that's worked with him can tell you, he does it with conviction, intensity and humility. His passion and love for music is truly inspiring not to mention his vast knowledge and musical ability which enables him to please almost every dance music genre known. " I have played, at one time or another, every style of music, and still love all styles of music, though at the moment I am playing more Tech house, Techno, Electro, Sleazy Electro, house, garage, lounge, etc …" explains this legend.
