I have been DJ‘ing since 1986
and collecting Music since 1982.
I also produce and make music of varouis styles.
My first real track I brought was in
1982 from the local market stall (Different times),
the classic M. Parish “Hip Hop Be Bop†and I still
really love that track. My favourite and most
cherished track looks wise has to be my picture
disk copy of Malcolm McLaren “Madam Butterflyâ€.
Really there are too many names to mention,
but it really all started from then and to list a few of my
top from back in the day I’d say, Kraftwork,
Malcolm McLaren, Sugar Hill, Grandmaster Flash,
Doug E Fresh, Afrika Bambaataa, Run Dmc
and my all time electro favourite would be
King of the Beat (Pumpkin).
I play Hardcore 91-92,
Jungle/D&B 93-07,
& House 88-92, tunes such as
Octagon Man-Free Er Than Free, Energy Flash,
Renegade Snares or Genaside 2, Moby Go, as
It’s reminds me of my early rave days,
Out To all The Kings Cross Crews!
I also have a good Electro/Hip Hop 82-88 collection,
but don’t get many bookings for that one, but still
play it on Net/Fm Radio at times.
If I’m honest I am still playing mainly old skool
Hardcore or New/Old jungle as I love the style and still get
that tingle down my spine when I hear them classics.
Also it’s seems I have been labelled as an old skool
DJ over the years, so I guess I don’t like to let the crowd down.
