Borrow My Fourth Song Slot
Happy New Year to all...
I'm kicking back in my apartment listening to "When the Children Cry" by White Lion, shedding a single tear and perusing some myspace pages (yes, I check your bands out). Just when Vito Bratta kicks into the solo, it occurrs to me that I could use the reach of my page for more than a place to share moving jpegs of sparkly angels and cute looking bunnies that stand juxtaposed atop catty insults.
There's a big wave of great new music coming up, and I want to do my part in getting it heard. Every month I'm going to post my favorite song from an unsigned (non-major label, let's call it) myspace band on my music player. All you have to do is send the link to your band's myspace site, as well as the song you want me to click on to [email protected]. I'll post my favorite song each month.
Not that it'll stop the pissed off bunnies.
I want to do one a month, so send as soon as you can and I'll get January's up ASAP...

(Q.) Why do you look so weird when you sing? I don't mean to be rude, but I had to ask.
(A.) Uh...open parentheses, "Go f--- yourself," closed parentheses. The real answer? It's just the way it comes out. I agree it looks stupid, but I can't help what's going on. If I could, I'd change it to something much better. I just have to accept that that's the shape of my face that gets the notes out. I call my face the "note squeezer."
