After years in the planning, KINGS of the WILD FRONTIER finally hit the streets in 2006! The brainchild of die hard Ant fanz Sie Anderson (Guitar/vox) and Glam Dave (Vox/guitar), the plan was to bring the wealth of great songs from Adams career to not only those who remember, but those who’s only exposure was through TOTP2 and Slimfast commercials! With Sie and GD both working as guitar teachers, they had access to the creme de la creme of musicians in the area. So it was that fellow teachers Mark Collins (Bass/vox) and Alex Salas (Drums) were brought into the fold.3 rehearsals later, KINGS of the WILD FRONTIER hit the stage at ‘Punky Sid’s’ birthday bash! The set included not only hits like ‘Stand and Deliver’ and ‘Ant Music’, but album tracks such as ‘Cleopatra’ and ‘Don’t be Square (be There)’.A succession of gigs and heavy investment in gear brought tracks like ‘Puss in Boots’, ‘Goody Two Shoes’ and ‘Prince Charming’ into the mix, along with requests like ‘Feed me to the Lions’ and ‘Vive le Rock’.The end of 2006 saw the band in the studio to put down some tracks for the new press pack. With so many great songs to choose from, the track list was agonised over for quite a while. The final selection was:1- Kings of the Wild Frontier
2- Antmusic
3- Stand & Deliver2007 sees the band spreading the word to a wider audience culminating in a prestigious slot on the bill at ANTFEST 2007. Don’t be square…. BE THERE!
