She was never bored, because she was never boring.

About Me

I'm a pirate through and through. There, I said it. You might be a pirate too! Do you feel inexplicably drawn to pirate movies and games? Do you love the ocean and boats? Do you love gold and silver? Do you own any items of clothing that have skulls and crossbones on them? Are fruity tropical drinks with rum in them your beverage of choice? Do you wish that Halloween was year-round so that you would be "allowed" to dress in a pirate costume? Then you just might be a pirate too. Don't be embarassed--LOTS of people are pirates! They just don't want to admit it because they think that people will think that they're silly. Well who cares? Throw your safety overboard! Be who you want to be!
Anyway, if you want to know more about me: in the words of the immortal Alice Cooper, "Have you got the time to find out exactly who I am?" Email me and I'll tell all...

My Interests

Plundering, pillaging, sailing the high seas, making idiots walk the plank, collecting treasure, B movies, bad kung-fu movies, sewing, sketching, writing, reading, bellydancing, corsets, just living and loving life in general.
Some of my favorite pirates are...

Cap'n Burchill, the Wrestling Pirate...
Adam Ant, the Singing Pirate...
And of course Captain Jack Sparrow, the rum-drinking, treasure-stealing, slightly mad but always charming pirate.
Guess what? I'm the official Fuckwits.net American correspondant. Please don't breed the Fudge Monkeys--think of the children!

Music:

'80s Alternative/New Romantic and some '90s Electronica/Dance. Adam Ant, Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran, Culture Club, Naked Eyes, OMD, The Cure, Depeche Mode, The Call, Echo & the Bunnymen, Sisters of Mercy, Psychedelic Furs, A-HA, Paul Young, Mission UK, Wolfsheim, London After Midnight, Eiffel 65, Covenant, Project Pitchfork.
One of my all-time favorite songs.
Navel to Neck live...**Fans herself** Glass of water for Captain Spookshow!
Adam Ant gives a lesson on what Native American facepaint stripes represent on the Cannon and Ball show and has some unfortunate news for one of the hosts.
.. width="425" height="350" .. You see kids, back in the 80s artists actually took pride in making visually interesting videos that told a story instead of using them as a venue to show off their "bling" and "hos." The above is a good example.
.. width="425" height="350" .. Welcome back, old friend. I missed you so very much. :)
.. width="425" height="350" .. Another good example of an interesting video with a good story. They don't make them like this anymore!
This song is from AHA's latest album, Analogue. I can't put the video on because it's a little racy, but you can see it on YouTube--use "a-ha celice" to search for it. I love this song!
Another really great A-HA song that didn't get much airplay here in the US. Such a shame.
This video is AWESOME! What modern artist would allow himself to be strapped to a windmill that drags him underwater? Simon LeBon, you're a real trooper.
Here's a nice little goth number that will get you dancing...
This video and song remind me of parties at my friend Brian's house in the mid-90s. Brian, if you're reading this--I miss you Pats. Send me an email.
Two drunk German guys + video camera + Haddaway's "What Is Love" = Very Funny Video. I want a lap dance from that guy in the back--LOL!

Movies:

Around work they call me the B Movie Queen. I love B movies, bad kung-fu movies and really bad 70s-80s movie musicals. There are too many in my collection to list here (I think at last count there was something like 200 and we've added since). The latest addition is The Gingerdead Man, which stars Gary Busey as a murderer who is reincarnated as a killer gingerbread man cookie. Yes, you read that right...a foot-high gingerbread man with Gary Busey's voice running amok in a bakery. Just picture it. If that makes you laugh, you definitely need to see the movie.
.. width="425" height="350" .. Here's a trailer for The Gingerdead Man.
And pirate movies, of course! Here's the trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean 3.

Television:

I watch more movies than TV, so here is a short list: TNA, Law & Order, Cops (gotta look out for that shirtless guy), Adult Swim, Are You Being Served, Family Guy, American Dad.
Look! It's Coiley's army of darkness! .. width="425" height="350" .. Noooo Springs! Hee hee hee!
.. width="425" height="350" .. "Who the h*ll's been talking all this time?"

Books:

B-Movie guides, horror novels, comic books, retro fashion books, all kinds of different stuff. I'm a very eclectic reader.
