Howdy!

HOWDY! Homegrown Outlaw Folk Music

About Me

Howdy! combines bluegrass, Americana, and psychedelic rock into an acoustic jam oriented, danceable music genre best described as Outlaw Folk. Singing songs of death, despair, angels, devils, revolution and celebration, Howdy! creates a tapestry of sound that culminates in transcendent peaks through out each performance.
Howdy! features the heart-felt lead vocals, guitar and harmonica chops of Tennessee native Dave Nanstad (Three Days Ahead, Killing Floor), the show-stopping mandolin and guitar work of Sean Hancock (Second Set, Kingstreet), and the driving upright bass rhythms of Aspen Stevenson (5 Tons of Rhythm, Speakeasy Jug Band). Chris Erbacher plays banjo and pedal steel, and PJ Medina holds things down (or brings them up!) on drums and percussion. As Howdy! fans will tell you, these musicians bring a remarkable flair, chemistry and intensity to the stage.
Driving their beat-up pickup trucks at breakneck speed onstage, Howdy! is excited to be rocking the house at a venue near you.
