Diego Parada"Yayo" has been playing professionally for 10 years... He started performing from a young age in local bands. He then went on to study classical music and classical guitar at the Gijon conservatoire in his home town, followed by a degree in teaching music from the University of Oviedo in the Northern Spain. He started to study jazz with Alfredo Moran. Diego has attended to seminaries with: Jimmy Bruno, Sylvain Luc, Dave Cliff, Alessio Menconi, Christophe Lartilleux, Ritary Gaguenneti, Lollo Meier, Margarita Scarpa, Miguel Trapaga, Marco Esmaili, Chema Saiz, Joaquin Chacon,and many more. Diego performed professionally with the
Toutsweet Quartet playing a series of dates accross the North of Spain including the premier of the movie
"Swing" by the Gypsy director Tony Gatlif.
The Duo is comprised of Diego Parada (solo guitar) and Steve Aston (rhythm guitar). As well a playing regularly in small venues in Brighton, Hastings and London, they have recently played at the International Brighton Guitar Festival and at Brighton's Club Chat Noir .
Diego has also been recently featured on BBC Southern Counties Radio, supported Ensemble Zaiti in the Joogleberry, “Brighton live festival†with Quasimodo quartet, Ealing jazz festival, Club Pigalle ( Picadilly Circus) with Helena Jessie..etc
