About Me

I was famous for my free-wheeling, intoxicant-fueled observations on politics and society in Rolling Stone magazine and in books such as Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I carried a persona, of a hard-drinking, gun-toting anti-authoritarian. I centered my reporting around my own crazy behavior and called it "gonzo journalism." I was also known as "Dr. Gonzo" or "Dr. Hunter S. Thompson". Also, I committed suicide on 02/20/2005.
