Left Setter is a Chicago-based Independent Rock band that is currently recording their 3rd full-length studio album. Highly recognized for their explosive live performances and sonically-timeless studio recordings, Left Setter combines elements of Heavy Rock with dynamic Pop hooks, delivered with a Punk DIY attitude.
Forming and releasing a 5-song EP in late 2001, Left Setter released their first full-length album, the self-titled ‘Left Setter’, in spring of 2003. Critically acclaimed press reviews for the album helped earn Left Setter a Budweiser ‘True Music Live’ sponsorship. Music videos for the songs ‘Trainwreck’ and ‘Invasion’ visually promoted the band to new video and cable outlets such as Fuse, MTV2 and Music Choice. Other songs on the album, including ‘Teardrop’ and ’11:11’, helped break the band onto local, national and international radio charts. ‘Durbin’s Poison’ also earned a spot on Blender Magazine’s ’Best of Unsigned America’ compilation cd in 2003 and ‘Numb’ was used in an advertisement campaign for Miller Beer Company.
Left Setter wrote, recorded and released their follow-up album, ‘Left Setter II’, in late 2005. Songs such as ‘Autumn Leaves’ and ‘Sellout’ helped Left Setter continue to make an impact at mainstream/college radio and satellite radio network XM Radio stations as well. Continuing to produce their own videos, music videos for the songs ‘Double Zero’ and ‘Million $ Funeral’ would help earn Left Setter a spot as guest hosts for 2 episodes of Chicago’s legendary music video show, JBTV, in summer of 2006.
While many other bands have come and gone trying to follow the ever-changing trends of the music business, Left Setter has kept a commitment to writing music that is an honest, true and real representation of each band members’ integrity and ambitions. Currently recording at the bands home base, Signal Sound Source in Chicago, Left Setter sounds stronger and more socially conscious than ever on early demos of new songs such as ‘Marching to the City’, ‘Last Days(Without You)’ and ‘Good Mourning America’.
Left Setter's third album is coming soon. Spread the word.
