About Me

I'm an Average American Rock and Roll Kinda who lives in Charleston, West Virginia. I usually earn a living as an audio/video production engineer, and I can also mix front of house sound and stage monitors as well. I buy, sell, trade and collect guitars, and I'm also the president of the Charleston Guitar Club. I am available for hire as a studio musician if a guitarist is needed who knows how to plug in and play, turn it up, and rock and then rock some more. Nearly five years touring experience with various indie and major label acts as technician, engineer, and gopher. Three years touring experience on North American nightclub circuits as a working guitarist performing four to six nights per week. More than twenty years total experience in the media and entertainment industry with experience in radio, television, film, live performance and sound reinforcement, audio production and recording, and hey...I even engineered an infomercial that featured Erik Estrada. Wanna hire me? I work cheap: provide beef jerky, diet soda, and an all you can eat Chinese buffet. I have one wife, three dogs, and no children--at least none I am aware of. Even though I turned 40 in 2007, I still profess that I am not old enough to have children. That is why I continue to "adopt" homeless guitars. I enjoy collecting guitars--I have mainly Gibson and Epiphone, but I have also found a few Fender guitars that I admire, so I got me some o' those too. I have become a friend of Roger Morillo, a Venezuelan luthier who migrated to Charleston, WV a few years back. He has his own line of custom guitars and basses. I am proud to own one of Roger Morillo's creations, and I must admit it is one of the finest guitars I have ever played. I call on Roger whenever I need first-rate service on any of my guitars, and I can depend on him to "Super-Charge" my guitars just right. I am not currently in a band but I'd be willing to hit the road again if the right opportunity arose.

My Interests

Classic rock, guitars, pepperoni rolls, cashews, and sleeping.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet Jay Leno. Why? Because he's Jay Leno. I like meeting people who collect guitars. Why? Because people who collect guitars have an appreciation for something that nobody else can really understand unless you are a serious guitar player or guitar collector.

Music:

Chuck Berry, Pat Travers, Rick Derringer, Gary Moore, Foghat, Moxy, UFO, Tommy Bolin, Rory Gallagher, The Outlaws, Lynyrd Skynryd, Savoy Brown, Nazareth, Brian Howe, Head East, Shooting Star, City Boy, ELO, The Who, Nantucket, Point Blank, April Wine, Peter Frampton, Heart, Sass Jordan, Styx, Sammy Hagar, Foreigner, Boston, The Kinks...and a few hundred more.

Movies:

Dark Of The Sun, The Last Escape, Island At The Top Of The World, The Eagle Has Landed...and a few hundred more.

Television:

I was really excited when the first season of "Hawaii Five-O" was released on DVD!!! "Book 'em Danno!!!"

Books:

I got a set of World Book Encylopedias for my tenth birthday. I read each volume cover to cover and filled my brain with loads of useless trivia. I don't read much now, except I do enjoy the funny anecdotes in Reader's Digest and I usually read my local newspaper.

Heroes:

Chuck Berry is the original rock and roll guitar hero. Les Paul gave us a great guitar. Peter "Mars" Cowling is a fantastic bass player. Carmine Appice is a drummer's drummer.
