Hello and thanks for visiting this space. This page was inspired by the creation and empowerment of human rights cities, with their intention of promoting awareness and imparting knowledge of our universal rights as human beings, starting within our own communities. The goal is to foster our capacity to respect and relate to one another as individuals, thereby creating a safe space to facilitate dialogue and understanding in order to acknowledge each other's right to a dignified existence.
Become a resident of Human Rights City by adding us and stay tuned. If you would like to know more about human rights cities, please visit PDHRE .
This page is an online equivalent of a human rights city. We are a community. Therefore, I invite you to post your own reflections on any human rights topic either on the comments or blog section. Please remember that any of our ideas that are published have the potential to develop into rich discussions in which we can all use as tools for further learning and understanding. A variety of blog topics will be presented to facilitate discussion.
This is a safe space for individuals to provide their piece of world view. However, the goal of our discussions is not to achieve a forced assimilation of ideas, but rather an understanding and appreciation for a plurality of ideas.
Another thing to keep in mind is that we come from many different backgrounds and each of us have something meaningful to contribute, but please be mindful of the jargon that some of us may be accustomed to using as to not limit participation by only those who can use highly specialized language. We want to engage each other in conversation towards fulfilling relationships so that we may greater appreciate each other as human beings and find our common bond. Our challenge is to facilitate fair, peaceful, and productive discussions.
