About Me

I run writers society with my buddy shannon in national university of ireland, galway, we always want to schmooze up with other writers groups. i've been poetry slamming for about four months and in april i'm gonna be competing in the final of the biggest slam in ireland - cuirt. I am a newly hatched purveyor of the mot surplus, I have been telling stories to pages and people as far as my memory stretches back but only recently started to take both sides of the coin seriously, only recently became more balancedly biblical in my output, lots of giving then lots of taking away, writing is supposed to be hard work, we cant expect lighning and honey to leap from our pen every time it touches paper. after a decade odd of writing prose on off and a few years writing plays i've become fascinated with the bone surgery of tightly controlled poetry, and am dangling that carrot ahead of me always. i've also become fascinated with the inportance of the spoken, whispered, sung, or shouted word, after all we were born with tongues, but not with pens. as well as writing i'm a photographer, i just had my first exhibition here in galway, i try to light the same question marks with pictures that i do with my words. in my free time i study and try not to take myself too seriously, i enjoy all kinds of pranks aimed at poking people out of their pedestrian plonk along shoppping walks.
