So what the hell is this and what are we trying to do? Well, we love music. What this project is, is a platform for bands to express themselves. There are no rock stars or similar such attitudes here, and there never will be. Whether the bands be local to us (upstate NY) or National acts, what we have created is a place for talented, down to earth bands to be showcased. What these bands are creating is art, in one form or another, not just a ploy to make money by sounding like the new in thing. The bands we feature are unique and put the music first. That doesnt mean that they dont want to be successful, but they are not compromising what they create, their aim is to do it on their own merit. When you watch Headbangers Ball or Uranium, you often will see the same videos week in and week out. It was that way when Headbangers Ball started back in the 80s, and it is that way now. You may see a video or two of a band that you have never heard before, but you will never see videos from unsigned bands, or live performances of such. What you get is very sanitized and controlled. The Music Industry, more than ever, is a business, and has no interest in originality or artistic expression. You see what they want you to see. We want you to have a choice. This is not a money making prospect. This is a project undertaken for the love of music and the furthering of real artistic expression. Bands with real feeling for what they do. Music can make you feel in a way that nothing else can. The very way you think and see the world, can be altered by music. The Music Industry wants sheep to buy their products in mass number. We want people to hear that which can move them. Will this creation make a huge difference. Nope. But if even one person can discover music and bands that can then mean something to them because of this, then we have been successful. And we have been successful at that... and we have only just begun.
