About Me

..I love to take pictures. I have thousands of pictures ranging from African wildlife, to weddings, to extreme sports, to candid, to children, to landscapes, and now some modeling pictures etc. Cameras are awesome because they allow us to capture some small piece of the beauty around us for eternity (or until pic decays or the file gets corrupted!)Huge thanks to ALL my cool friends here at myspace! This has been a truly fun and rewarding experience so far.Click on this portion to visit Petra Nemcova's Happy Hearts Fund. It is for helping children who are victims of natural disasters! A great charity that can ALWAYS use more help. Don't wait until there is anothe disaster. With help up front, they can be much more prepared to help when disaster strikes.
You Are a Smart American
You know a lot about US history, and you're opinions are probably well informed.
Congratulations on bucking stereotypes. Now go show some foreigners how smart Americans can be. Are You a Dumb American?I also believe in using my WHOLE BRAIN! I'm what you might call a whole-brained person!
You Are 100% Left Brained, 100% Right Brained
The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning.
Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others.
If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic.
Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet.
The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility.
Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way.
If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art.
Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports. Are You Right or Left Brained?I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

My Interests

Photography! Poverty alleviation and other development issues. The stupidity of Racism and how it persists anyway. Comics. Just about anything is interesting to an interesting person.

I'd like to meet:

Don Cheadle. He's an amazing actor, but more importantly an ardent advocate. Likewise, Bono. While I like the music, it is the humanitarian that interests me most. Jeffrey Sachs, Amartya Sen, Joseph Stiglitz and others whose work may well shape the future of our world.Other than those "celebs"... Any interesting people. I believe there is no such thing as a "common" person. I especially like individuals who defy the "norm" or just seem to have their own rhythms. I would especially like to meet interesting people who would like to be photographed, since that is my number one past time. I would love to compile a huge portfolio of a rainbow of people from every background, culture, and ethnicity. } } Potential Models Check out the Better Business Bureau Website for warnings about Talent Scouts/Agents http://www.bbb.org/alerts/article.asp?ID=477 __________________________________________________________ Cosplayers, writers, artists, comic creators (though if you had anything to do with the end of Civil War and Cap just wimping out and subsequently getting shot, then bug off! idiots!)Check out this video. Add to My Profile | More VideosHere's another.

Music:

I listen to almost anything depending upon my mood. Sometimes I specifically choose my music to alter my mood. Jazz, hip-hop, rap, country, pop, classical, "Monster Ballads", Reggae, there's not really much limit to what I can enjoy. I like to try to empathize with the writer/composer or the artist/performer. Great music comes from the heart, and because of this we can see into the hearts of those who write and perform.

Movies:

My movie horizons have expanded exponentially over the last decade. I now enjoy documentaries and foreign films as well as a good comedy (I mean GOOD, too. Not the low intellect crap that is so predominant now) action and adventure. I loved the first Zorro with Antonio Banderas! He was the perfect choice for that role. The second one was poorly written, though the kid was a great addition to the mythos. Almost anything with Don Cheadle, Jamie Foxx, or Will Smith. These guys really know how to transform themselves into someone else. It's incredible to watch them and really believe that they are the person they are portraying.

Television:

I watch a lot of History Channel, Fuel TV, and superhero stuff like Justice League (Unlimited). My wife and I own the entire Smallville library so far. It is our favorite show and we now have several of our friends addicted too.

Books:

I read voraciously. Lately I have been reading [Why are all the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria? And Other Conversations About Race] which is by Beverly Daniel Tatum, the President of Spelman College. Another recent book is The End of Poverty: Economic Possibilities for Our Time by Jeffrey Sachs and Development as Freedom by Amartya Sen Each of those is a good treatise on how development should be approached. I have read many fantasy novels, a slew of non-fiction, fiction, technical journals, science, history, just about anything almost. I also love comics, though the pricks at Marvel are really trying to get me to quit. I loved the Civil War storyline... right up until Cap just QUIT?! WTF?!?! Do you people not know anything about this character? Did you not read the speech he gave to Parker over in the Spider-titles? That was some of the worst BS!

Heroes:

In real life? Fredrick Douglass. Marting Luther King Jr. Willian Wilberforce. Don Cheadle and Bono! Those who fight for freedom and justice. All the people who work and volunteer at the many charities in my friends list (and other charities too). In fantasy? Captain America, because he ALWAYS fought for what was right, regardless of what was popular or what the government wanted. Well, until Marvel decided to have him wimp out! I forget, have I mentioned how much I'm ticked at Marvel now?! Check out this video about a man's struggle against injustice. Then go check out the profile put up to garner support for him.
