This is my original Lime Chiffon doll that I had when I was a kid. My mom found it recently, packed away in a big box of my old toys. The box, pet and comb are all original.
This is a carrying case for the Strawberry Shortcake pvc figures. It has a story printed on the inside, with several shelves and 2 windows for the figures. A gift from my mom.
My absolute FAVORITE toy from the 80's, was and always will be, Strawberry Shortcake!! It was the best!
This is only a fraction of my Strawberry Shortcake dolls and other related items, from the 80's. I have at least one doll of every character that was ever made. The roller skates, HuckleBerry Pie, Strawberry Shortcake, and Rasberry Tart dolls, were mine when I was a kid. But most of the stuff you see, I have bought in the past 3 years, because I did not have a lot of these toys growing up. I guess you could say that I'm making up for what I never had!
Do any of you out there remember SeeWees? I had a bunch when I was little and I have not heard anything about them, or seen them in ages! I was lucky enough to find this one at a flea market a couple of weeks ago. I had one just like this, when I was a kid. They also came with a sponge that they sat in, and a little sister, I think.
These are the few vintage Sanrio things that I own, and managed to keep from when I was a kid. I had the My Melodoy and small Hello Kitty doll, when I was a kid. The pink pajamas are real Sanrio clothing for Hello Kitty. But the Big Hello Kitty I found at a thrift store. I do have a large Hello Kitty doll in blue overalls, that I had when I was a kid. Pictures of that one will be coming soon! The pillow case in the background is also from the 80's and it is part of my Hello Kitty sheet set, that I had when I was a kid. I had it all, except for the comforter.
2 of my vintage Sanrio books.
Vintage My Melody bank and a ceramic figure of another Sanrio Character, which I don't know the name of. If you know who that is, please let me know!
Vintage My Melody notebook and Granny kitty figure. The Granny Kitty figure came with a playset that had a Hello Kitty figure and Grandpa Kitty figure and some little ducks. It was pink and looked like a box with pictures of a lake and house on it. I've had these since I was 6. But the playset broke and I lost the other figures. :(
Me morphing into a Cabbage Patch kid.
Here are 3 of my 80's Cabbage Patch kids. All their clothes are original. I found all 3 of these dolls at thrift stores. Some, I was lucky to have found with all their original clothes and shoes on.
Here are 3 more 80's Cabbage Patch kids that I found recently at Good Will! The orphanage is getting pretty crowded! Not really sure how many more I can adopt!
More Cabbage Patch kids! Just picked up these two, this weekend at Good Will! All clothes are real cabbage patch kid clothes.
Another Cabbage Patch kid! She had no clothes when I got her, but I found the outfit she has on, at flea market.
Another new edition to my Cabbage Patch family!
Another Cabbage Patch kid???!! This one actually came with her adoption papers. Another score at Good Will!
This is another one of 80's cabbage patch kids. She is wearing a clown costume. The clothes and shoes are all genuine Cabbage Patch kid clothes. She came from a thrift store as well.
Another Cabbage Patch kid in a clown costume. These are all genuine Cabbage Patch kid clothes and shoes she's wearing.
Another vintage Cabbage Patch kid. The purple suit is missing the wires that went inside. They were there to make the doll stand in different positions. The purple suit was mine when I was a kid, but not the doll. I lost the wiring.
Yet another addition to my lovely Cabbage Patch kid family!
These are 2 Cabbage Patch kid "Corn Silk" dolls from the 80's. They have combable hair, as opposed to the yarn hair. They came from thrift stores, and you can probably guess, since the poor things have no clothes. But I'll get some soon!! Don't worry!
This is my custom made "Strawberry Patch Kid". I made it from a vintage Cabbage Patch cornsilk kid, and a classic style SSC rag doll. This is one toy that should have been put into production in the 80's, don't you think?
Small plush Cabbage Patch kid. These came with a little house that had one room. The house had a piece of velcro on the wall that you could attatch the doll to. I have one of the houses, but it's not the one that go's with this one. Picture will be coming soon.
These are my pvc Cabbage Patch kid figures (80's) and a few of the vinyl jointed figures (80's).
2 more vintage Cabbage Patch kid pvc figures and a little Cabbage Patch Kid carriage. Does anyone know what the carriage went to? This is the first time I've seen one. It has a date of 1984 on the back.
Another vinyl, jointed CPK figure. The newest addition to my collection.
My vintage Cabbage Patch kid hand puppet. This is the first one I've ever seen.
Did you collect Garbage Pail kids? I did!! In fact, I still have some of the stickers on my bedroom door, back at my parents house! (pictures coming soon). This one is not mine, Heather From Ork found this one for me. Thanks Heather!!
This is the back of one of my Garbage Pail kid cards, that I had when I was a kid. The sticker is gone though. Unfortunately, this is the only one I've been able to locate.
More Garbage Pail kids!! I finally have a collection now! Thanks to my mom! She bought these at a yard sale when I was a kid, and put them away in the attic. She had been saving them to give to me when I got older. And as of Christmas 2007, they're all mine!! Thanks mom!!
I wanted a "My Buddy" when I was a kid, and a kid sister, even though I was too old for them. Did I ever get one? NOOOO!! Until today that is! Another score at GoodWill, not one, not two, but four My buddies! Which do you prefer? Blonde or Brunette? Regular eyes or sleepy eyes?
My Teddy Ruxpin. This is one of the many toys I wanted really bad, growing up, but never got. And yes, he does work!!
My vintage Teddy Ruxpin books and tapes.
My vintage Teddy Ruxpin Answer Box. I think it's missing some other stuff, but I'm not exactly sure what stuff it is that's missing. I have a few cassette tapes that go with it also.
My Hug's and Tug's Carebears. These are from my own collection.
A few of my many vintage Carebears. The one in the middle is not a fake! It is a tenderheart bear bank. The heart on his stomach lifts up and the slot to put the money is there.
This is Secret Bear. One of the coolest Carebears ever made in the 80's. It has a string on it's back that you pull to make it talk. And yes, he works perfectly! And next to it, is my CareBear lunchbox. This was mine when I was a kid. Also, if you pay close attention to the 1st sesason of Punky Brewster, you'll notice that she had this same lunch box!
Here are some more of my vintage Care Bears. The first two on the left (Birthday Bear & Cheer Bear) were mine when I was a kid. Bedtime bear, I found at a thrift store.
This is my Cheer Bear that I've had since I was a kid, and it's original box. The box is in better condition than the bear is! My mom was really cool about saving my toys, she saved all the boxes from them.
I have no idea what this is, but it's a vintage Care Bear pillow like doll of Cheer Bear. It says 1985 American Greetings Co. on the tag. But, it's not hand made. I thought it was a cut & sew pillow at first, but it's not. It also has a loop on the back of the head with a white plastic ring attatched to it. Any idea what this could be or what it may have gone with? Message me if you know, please!
One of my two Carebear cousins. I never had any of the cousins when I was a kid, just the regular Care bears. I think his name is Braveheart racoon? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
My other vintage carebear cousin. I can't remember what it's name is. If you know, please let me know!
Here are 2 of my vintage pvc Care Bear figures. These were mine when I was a kid.
Here are some of my poseable vinyl Carebear figures. There were also vehicles for them. I have the cloud car, and pictures of that will be coming soon!
My vintage Carebear Cousin Soap bottle.
My vintage Good Luck Bear candle. In memory of my Aunt Mary. It belonged to her. She loved Care Bears just as much as I do, and this was her favorite one.
My vintage hand-painted ceramic Birthday Bear. This was not painted by me, I found it at a flea market, LOL.
Some vintage ceramic Carebear statues. The ones holding ballons with numbers on them are for birthdays.
This is my vintage Care Bear Blanket.
2 vintage 80's Carebear nightgowns that I found at a thrift store. I wore some very similar to these when I was a kid. I just couldn't pass them up when I saw them!
My many vintage CareBear books. I'm not sure if I have the whole series yet, in hardcover, but I think I'm pretty close!!
This is another vintage story book and Care Bears coloring book. The coloring book is in mint condition and has never been colored in. Another one of my many thrift store treasures!2 more vintage Carebear books.
These are needlepoint boooks and a pattern to make your own carebears. They belonged to my Aunt Mary (my fairy godmother), who passed away last year (God rest her soul). She was a wonderfull person and loved Care Bears, just as much as me.
This a package of M.I.P., vintage Care Bear b-day invitations. I found these at Good Will for 59 cents, a few weeks ago.
Vintage Carebears stationary.
These are some more of my 80's Care Bear books and a few My Little pony books. The two small Care Bear books were mine when I was a kid, but the others I have found at various yard sales and thrift stores.
This is one of my 4 Wuzzles. It's name is ButterBear. Special thanks go out to "CresfallenXYU" for giving me his name!
Another one of my Wuzzles, Rhinokey (thanks Note to self). And next to him, is my Wuzzles cassette player. And it still works!
Here are some more of my Wuzzles and one book. I have one more, but I couldn't find it. It was a seahorse, I think. If anyone can give me the names of these guys, I'd really appreciate it!
Remember Poppples? This one turns into a basketball.
Some tiny popples and a book. (A present from "Dark Star")
How cute is this?? Teeny-weeny popples!! I don't remember seeing these when I was a kid. Do you? I have another one that is pink and blue, around here somewhere. I'll post a pic as soon as I find it.
Remember "Lots-a-lots-a-legs"? I never had one before, but I found it recently at a thrift store and couldn't pass it up. It looks too neat!!
Remember the Fabulous Felines? I don't remember much about these dolls, but I've had them since I was a kid, and I loved them! The purple one is a mouse. If anyone knows their names, please message and let me know!
Now these are what I call trolls!! Real trolls!! Not those stinky ones they have today, with the weird faces. These trolls are all 80's! These are only a few from my collection. I have about 85 all together.
And Rosepetal Place? I never had any of the dolls, nor do now, but I do have a lunchbox. Pictures of that will also be coming soon.
The newest addition to my Rainbow Brite collection. Does anyone know what this dog's name is?
This is my Baby Rainbow Brite doll. I think it's missing a bottle and a sprite, but I am not sure.
This is my small vintage Rainbow Brite doll and blanket.
My small, vintage Patty O'green doll. She's missing her dress.
Vintage Blue Sprite. I found this at Good Will, on my birthday, this year. (2007). Couldn't have asked for a better present!!
This is my vintage Rainbow Brite head. It was the top of a soap bottle. I found it at a yardsale when I was a kid, and it was on a She-rah body. But the She-Rah body was all cracked.,/font
This is my vintage Rainbow Brite bank. A wonderful gift from my mom, this past Valentines Day.
This is my vintage Rainbow Brite toy, tin plate. It was a b-day present from my mom, this year.
This is my one and only Rainbow Brite movie, and it's MISSING! I am so mad! I found this at Good Will for 2 bucks! I get all excited and buy it. Then when I got home, I opened it up, all ready to watch it, and instead of the Rainbow Brite movie, there was a CareBear movie in the box! Oh well, at least it was from the 80's!
This is my Rainbow Brite paper doll book. It's in mint condition. Never been used. A Christmas present from mom, last year.
2 of my vintage Rainbow Brite story books.
Who could forget Herself the Elf and Rainbow Brite??? Not me!!
Here is my Herself the Elf doll. This is a replacement and not the one I had when I was a kid. I still have it, but it's not suitable for pictures. I cut off all her bangs, cuz I thought it would look better, since the rest of her hair was curly. LOLVintage Herself the Elf mug.
Here is my very first Gem doll!! I never had one when I was a kid, but I wanted one really bad! I just got her at Good Will last week, for a buck! The only things I think she's missing is her shoes and guitar.
This is one of my two Gem books that I own. I lost the ohter one somewhere in this mess of toys!! LOL Stay tuned, cuz pics of that will be coming too, as soon as I can find where heck I put it!
M.I.P. Jewel Secret's barbie. If you bought all of these jewelry sets, and put them together, they made a jewelry box.
My vintage Barbie townhouse. (1984) All the pieces are there and it's in its original box. But when you put the whole thing together, it looks pretty crappy. It didn't even come with any furniture!!
Here are some more of my vintage My Little Ponies and 2 ponywear outfits. All of these things were mine when I was a kid. I still have lots more, and more pictures will coming in the future! These are just a fraction of my 80's My Little ponies. Most of them are at my parents house and up on shelves in my bedroom. My Little ponies were one of my favorite toys growing up, and they are still are now!!
These are the 2 newest editions to my MLP collection. Megan and baby palm tree. Megan came with the Sundance pony. I also have her as well, and a pic will be coming soon!
More vintage My Little Ponies that have been added to my collection.
My vintage My Little Pony board game.
Vintage My Little Pony roller skates, hat, saddle blanket, and some brushes.
2 of about 5 of my vintage My Little Pony story books.
I'm not sure what these horses are called, but I think they are called Fashion Star fillies. They came with stickers and paint that you could decorate them with. I never had any when I was a kid, but I wanted them really bad! I remember painting some of my MLP's with nailpolish, to substitute them for one of these. Not a good idea, and don't try it, it will ruin your ponies!
One of my 3 Huggabunch dolls that is the only one near mint condition. My others are missing clothes, huglets and hair ribbons. This one is only missing it's huglet. Some day I hope to find it, and reunite the two. This is a toy I never got when I was a kid, but I wanted one really bad!!
These are my other 2 Huggabunch dolls. I can't remember their names, so if anyone can tell me, please message me so I can put them up.
Huggins, one of the Hugglets that were sold at Taco Bell in the 80's. A gift to me from "Dark Star".
Hugglet for Tickles.
This is my vintage Huggabunch, toy, tin plate. It was another b-day gift from my mom this year.
Vintage Huggabunch cut and sew pillows.
Remember "Fluff-Up's"? Neither do I! But they did exist, and this one's name is "Frou-Frou". You mess up their hair, and then shake it around, and the hair magically becomes neat and standing straight up. Exciting huh? LOL
Does anyone out there know what this toy is called? It says it was manufactured by American Greetings (Amtoy) in 1981. It kind of reminds me of poochie.
This is my Poochie tape dispenser. Sadly, this is the only Poochie item that I own. I had a few Poochie things when I was little, but they all got lost in the move from NY to Maine.
This is my "Muppet Babie's Live" button. I got this when I was 9 years old.
One of my many original 80's Pound Puppies, I have no idea what his name is. He's new to my collection. Found him at Good Will last week, for a buck! Still had his collar on too.
My 2 newest additions to my Pound Puppy family. Not sure what these guy's names are either!!
My Pound Puppies radio. I never even knew these things existed. I just found this at the Salvation Army last week.
Pound Puppies story book from 1986.
How cool is this?? A Pound Puppies coloring book from 1986, in mint condition, never been colored in!! 50 cents at the Salvation Army!
Who grew up in the 80's and didn't like Heathcliff?? Did I spell that right? LOL.
This is my "Baby Alive" doll. I got her for Christmas when I was in 2nd or 3rd grade. This is the original one. You can tell because it has a lever on her back that you pull up and down, to make her mouth open and close. She came with food that you mixed with water and then fed to her. She'd pee and poop in her diaper after she ate the food. I lost her clothes and her spoon and dish. But, I still have the original box and directions for her. Pics of that will be coming soon!
Remember "Dolly Surprise"? This doll is awesome! The pigtails grow! You move her right arm up and down and they go back into her head. Then you lift up the left arm and they grow back!
M.I.P "C.U.T.I.E.'s" figures. These weren't all that popular. I barely remember them. But they are toy from the 80's, so I had to add them to my collection!
He-Man! I wasn't really into He-Man when I was a kid, but for some reason, these 3 figures I liked. I had a skeletor figure when I was a kid, but lost it. And I had the green suction cup mouth one too. I used to stick him to the window in the car. The Roboto one is my favorite. It has all these multi-colored gears inside of him and they turn. These were a gift to me from Jeff, all except the Skeletor figure. My mom gave me that one.
My transformers. I have no idea what their names are, but they are so neat! They start out as a cassette player and little cassettes. The cassettes actually fit into the cassette player. If you know their names, please message me and let me know what they are!!
Remember when Playdoh came in carboard cans? Remember those annoying hard plastic lids that you had to practically bend your fingernails backward, to get open? These came with my Strawberry Shortcake playdoh set. And yes, the original 80's playdoh is still in these cans! Hard as rock and crystalized!
My mint in package, vintage, E.T. Sun catchers. Another score at Good will!!
I've got P U N K Y P O W E R !
She's a maniac, maniac...
When I was in the 3rd grade, a few of my friends and I did a crazy dance routine to "Girls just wanna have lunch" by Weird Al, in the school talent show. I was one of the "Girls who wanted to have lunch". I got to sit at a desk and stuff my face with cup cakes and cookies through the entire song!! It was awesome!
This is my Michael Jackson doll, in his "Thriller" attire. Yes, I know he's only supposed to have on one magic glove, but...he came with two and I didn't want to loose the other one, so I put both on him. I've had this doll since I was about 6 or 7 years old.
Who could forget those cute little electron Echo pianos that came with song books?? I had many of these when I was a kid. These were awesome. The first song I learned to play on it was "Twinkle, Twinkle, little star". The yellow one I found at at thrift store, and the pink one was mine when I was a kid. The yellow one still works, but the pink one is broken. :(
This one of two of my Yamaha keyboards. This one is missing a key, cuz I found it at Good Will lol. My original one got stepped on by my dad. So, it only works with batteries now. I'm hoping that I can take some parts from this one and be able to fix the old one, cuz that one key missing is really bugging me!! It still works though.
This appears to be one of the earliest cassette players made by Fisher Price. It is dated 1980. Another score at Good Will!!
Remember the Take-a-long cassette players? The commercial showed a kid dropping one down a flight of stairs, and it still worked. Or was that the Fisher Price one? I don't know. But I remember my cousin Shannon having one of these, a brown one. We'd listen to all kinds of crazy stuff on that thing. And when the batteries started to go dead, we'd have to hold it on our head to make it play louder! I never had one though. This is one of two that I own right now.
Here are 3 of my favorite 80's records. The Poochie record is the best. It's still M.I.P. (mint in package). The soundtrack to the movie "Footloose" (a great movie!), and Carebears Christmas album.
Goonies, Footloose, Legend of Billie Jean, E.T., Gremlins, Manequin, Best legs in the 8th grade, Adventures in Babysitting, Flight of the navigator, Pretty in Pink, Breakfast club, Sweet Sixteen, and many more!
Family Ties, Growing Pains, Different Strokes, Alf, Small Wonder, Charles in Charge, The Cosby Show, Silver Spoons, Degrassi Jr. High, The Hogan Family, Roseanne, Head of the class, One to grow on, Galaxy High, Teen Wolf (saturday morning cartoon),The littles, Reading rainbow, My two dads, Full House, Gimme a break, Facts of life, Pewee's Playhouse, and my more!! If it's a sitcom and made in the 80's, then I probably like it!
This is one of my favorite 80's shows, as well as one of my favorite books!
Does anyone know if there were any other books released in this series (Was it even a series?)? This is the only one I've been able to locate.
My first Growing Pains book!! Is this awesome or what? I never even knew they made them!! I hope there are others in the series. I'd love to find some more!
Remember Mr. Men books? I used to read these things religiously when I was in elementary school. I think I have one for just about every personality and emotion.
Remember read along books? This one is missing it's tape.
Is this totally awesome or what? Retro-Bryan made this awesome pic of the original MySpace 80's Gang. Bryan, Heather and myself.
In no particular order, these are the people and T.V. characters that I admire most, for many different and wonderfull reasons. They are my heros, and well deserving of that title.
Punky Brewster. She has the best fashion sense out of anyone I know!! Awesome picture made by Retro Bryan.
Heather from Ork/80's Yuppie Heather from Ork. One word....AWESOME!
Retro Bryan. Just look at his pages. He knows how to bring back the 80's!! He makes great pictures and the best Punky fan page in the universe!
My dad, Joe. For all those trips to Ritters Pond (NY), pushing me on the swings for as long as I wanted. For all those Marinos Cherry flavored Italian ices and those giant pink foot shaped ice cream bars with the red bubble gum toenail, he bought me. And for many other reasons, that you could never understand.
