Star Radio is an officially licensed ASCAP, BMI and SESAC 'Internet Only' Radio Station; it is a 'Premium Member' of the Live365 network and all royalties are paid monthly via Live365.Star Radio has been created on the 23rd of March 2003; this website was launched on the 25th of April 2003. The idea came from 'DJ Brian' who was a former FM Radio DJ; he is the founder, the director and the webmaster. All other DJs are the founder's friends and colleagues who decided to join Star Radio as volunteers. Star Radio is a non-profit radio; our aim is to play music, have fun doing it and share it with our listeners. We ONLY play the Latest Hits and we do select them from All over the World and not just from one market (Pop, Dance, R&B, Rap, Rock, Latino, French, Greek, International...).Early in September 2003, Live365 selected Star Radio as an "Editor's Pick" Radio and included Star Radio in its monthly Newsletter !Mid-March 2004, thousands of Live365 broadcasters selected Star Radio as one of the 5 finalists nominees for the BEST POP RADIO STATION AWARD 2004.Again, and for the 2nd year in a row, on the 23rd of March 2005, VIP Listeners and Live365 broadcasters selected Star Radio as one of the 5 finalists nominees for the BEST POP RADIO STATION AWARD 2005. The Awards ceremony took place in San Francisco on the 30th of April 2005.

This years' competition will be held in Belgrade (Serbia) and 43 countries will be represented at the 53rd Eurovision Song contest. For whatever reason, the format of this year has changed; only five countries are guaranteed places in the final on May 24th. This means that there will be two semi-finals (May 20th and May 22nd).After the controversial voting patterns seen in recent years and which for many people ruined the 2007 contest, the EBU has decided to have the most radical shake-up of the format of the competition since 2004.In each Semi-Final, a maximum of ten countries shall qualify for the Grand Final. Only nine countries in each Semi-Final (i.e. a total of 18) will be selected for the Grand Final, on the basis of the televoting results. Moreover, two additional countries (one from each Semi-Final) may be given a wild card to participate in the Grand Final by having scored the highest number of votes from the Stand-by Juries among the songs not already qualified for the Grand Final. The songs awarded the wild card shall be revealed only after the Grand Final. For the semi-final draw, the participating countries were divided into pots based on statistical data, geographical position and voting patterns since 2004. This is likely to mean that the infamous voting blocks which have brought the contest into disrepute are likely to be broken up for the semi-finals, as well as diluting the impact of the immigrant votes. The Grand Final will be composed of 18 semi-finalists, 2 wild cards and the 5 finalists (Spain, France, UK, Germany and last years winner Serbia). The votes will remain (most probably) the same as since 2005, 43 countries will deliver their results on Saturday May 24th, one song will be chosen by a jury and the 9 others by the televoting.
