Sorrows are blessings misunderstood.

About Me

I am highly sensitive, but strong when I need to be. I selected other as my ethnicity because I am Egyptian on my dad's side, Czech, French and Irish on Mom's side, and American because this is where I was born.I am a patriotic liberal who hates war and violence but tries not to hate Bush even though I didn't vote for him). I believe in stem cell research to help folks like the late Christopher Reeve. I am against abortion for myself, but you won't see me threatening lives like those folks at the abortion clinics..counter productive, don't you think? I have a variety of friends of all ages. I don't discriminate so long as the people are decent. I'm a "nostalgia tripper," dig music, movies and culture from the turn of the last century through the present time, with a special affection for the 1930s. My family swears I'm reincarnated!

My Interests

Contact Tables Spending time with my fantastic family and friends, learning from my bright and loving niece, "Ambie", walking Mighty boy (when it's not too hot in Cali), writing poems, show and film reviews and the occasional screenplay, singing, dancing, working on my website (www.libranpoet.com), going to the gym, exploring the fine and mystic art of bellydance, probing the City of Angels for ghosts of the past, running the Eddie Cantor Society, still photography, making jewelry, designing t-shirts, bargain hunting (hence the name, Dimestore), and generally goofing off. I'm a clown with a winning personality (if I do say so myself...ha!). Going to movies new and sometimes very old are my thing too...I guess so, since I got my masters in screenwriting. I also like the occasional sporting event, like a good basketball or hockey game. I absolutely love the Hollywood Bowl and outdoor concerts.
You Should Be a Song Writer
You have the ability to evoke emotion, tell a story, and hook someone...
In a very small amount of words, perhaps with some deft rhyming.
Even if you can't write music, you can sure write compelling lyrics.
Lyrics so good, people will have them stuck in their heads! What Type of Writer Should You Be?

I'd like to meet:

Cool, honest people that like to unwind with a glass of wine and magnificent conversation. Spiritual people are very intriguing, since I consider myself one. Some beautiful men I would like or would have like to have met, Daniel-Day Lewis, one of the greatest actors of our time, the fantastically talented, Terrence Howard, the magnanimous Johnny Depp, and the beloved and now late, Heath Ledger.
