Simon Ferenci is a trumpet player from Sydney who also owns a trombone and plays various styles of music including jazz, improvised, latin, rock, funk, soul etc. In 2003 at the age of 20 he was a finalist in the National Jazz Awards at the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and in 2004 completed a Bachelor of Music (Jazz Performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
He leads the Simon Ferenci Quartet which also features Hugh Barrett on piano, Mike Majkowski on bass and James Waples on drums. The quartet plays original compositions by Simon and Mike, some of which you can hear on this page.
