I am new to the poetry scene yet I feel like my soul has been on display for years. I have my unique approach to poetry because I bring a theatrical presence with me along the way. I have only performed my poetry publically for a little over a month. So pray for me as I put together my first poetry cd. People have asked for one every show and I would like to share my thoughts with the world. So if you love poetry as much as I do please feel free ti hit me up. Band Members: It is only I, 2DEEP~ The Poetess
Influences: I must say that I am a Def Poetry Jam Fanatic! I dont even have HBO...lol. I wait for the DVDs to come out or I run to a friend's house to watch it when I can. I am in love with local poets such as: E-Baby, Kamitian Queen, C Scott, Reign, Poetry Man,Benny Blaq, and Odessa Maxwell (She's so wise). On Def Poetry I am mos def, pun intended, feeling Black Ice, Poetdri, Limon, Shihan, Beau, Mr. Molly, and just too many to name. They inspire me and I show the film in my classes, I'm a teacher, to my students in order to show them that they too can write from their hearts. Other than that my poetry comes from how I view the world and how people respond to me. So the world is my general influence.
Sounds Like: Me, Myself, and I....aka A Child of God. In short I sound like the truth.
