Writer, poet, and activist, promoting other poets & organising poetry events.
Also a performance poet - at open mike, cabaret, festivals & all kinds of performance poet oriented events. I sometimes perform with Mim Darlington as 'The Honey Tongues', sometimes with Moor Poets, based in Devon.
Moor Poets have just produced our compilation CD -'UNCHARTED' featuring fabulous poems by Denise McSheehy, Jackie Juno, Jennie Osborne, Karen Eberhardt-Shelton, Mim Darlington, Simon Williams, Susan Taylor, and many many others. We plan to tour in the South West UK and further afar next year
I'm also currently collaborating with Dennis Just Dennis, our Sham-Slam, Race-for-the-Writehouse show (starring us as Bollocks O'Barmy & Hilarious Clingon) for this year's Electric Picnic in Ireland.
I also write short stories (as well as poetry) for publication. Won second prize in biennial Asham Literary Awards comp 2004; honourable mention 2003 Avalon Library short-story comp; Poetry - shortlisted 'London Art' art-of-love poetry prize 2005; first prize Chelsea Flower Show poetry competition 2005.
Occasionally exhibit poetry in visual media.
I run poetry and creative writing events in schools and with community groups. I offer an 'arts' experience rather than working with an 'educational' agenda, engaging learners with the natural world and/or playing with other art-forms to develop creative writing.
And, dammit, keep myself from starving in the garret by freelance copywriting.
MY POETRY CD 'THE WISDOM OF BEES' funded by ARTS COUNCIL ENGLAND now on sale. * SEE MY WEBSITE *:

Time to write a blog?

So the less time I have, the more things I try to fit in to it. Like a bottle for a genie or grail or cornucopia or some other mystical artefact, time does not always relate through the logical brain...
