About Me

About me, eh? Well I write poems. They are about things. Or sometimes other things. Never both. My scribblings have featured on film, television, radio and post-it notes. I also perform at live events across the UK.

If you dig my shizzle then you'll be stoked to know that I've uploaded a whole bunch of archive material onto a popular video sharing site, which you can visit without let or hindrance by clicking your cursor right HERE .

And for those sporadic occasions when life just begs to be retrospectively embellished and written up as a tragicomic anecdote, there is now my new blog: tl; dr .

Finally, here are some nice things that nice people have said:

"If the devil has all the best poems as well as tunes then Nathan Filer must have signed a Faustian pact." Elvis McGonagall - Apples & Snakes

"Dextrous, nimble, surreal slam winning rhymes... Beautifully and brutally crafted." Martin Williams - Glastonbury Festival Reviews

“This is so unpretentious and non-indulgent, and thats what makes it such a joy to watch...proper funny." David Tennant - BBC

Oedipus So this is my first short film, made in 2005 with multi award winning collective: RONG UK. Amongst other accolades it scooped the BBC Best New Film-maker Award.
Goth v Emo Why? Because like all the important questions in life, this one can be boiled down to its irreducible essence, a sticky residue of inquiry- which would win in a fight? The Goth? Or the Emo? And what of William G Stewart?

The Body of a Human made in collaboration with my good friend (and better cameraman) Phil Bambridge . It has a rather gentle pace to it, so you may want to make that cup of tea first :)

Perfidious Albino: a critical appraisal leading to negative conclusions about the portrayal and exploitation of minority groups by the mainstream media.

I Cycle Flowing, drifting, spirited along by sheer poetic joie de vivre, propelled along country lanes, raised above the prosaic life on a mount of steel and rubber...I cycle. I. Must. Cycle.
Influences: Why you, of course. It was all down to you.
Sounds Like: Me. Exactly like me. Uncanny.
Record Label: Nope, nothing of the sort.
Type of Label: Unsigned
