Radio 1 Digital Radio- Major fm Internet Radio!!! just to mention a few.....
Mr D-lo Brown a.k.a D-low, Down Low, D 2 the Izzo or Brown, got involved in the UK House ’n’ Garage scene back in 1998, when he was formally part of the 419 crew as a DJ on Raw fm. During this period, his Djing and Mcing skills was soon recognised not only by the listeners, but also by a promoter called Boss Man who booked him as a resident DJ at Camden Lock. He soon seized another residency at Rough Night Club, Sosh Rooms, Camdon Palace and Power House. The UK House ’n’ Garage scene at this point was the new trend as more people from different music back grounds wanted a piece of this new buzz.
In 2000, Mr D-lo Brown manged to grasp a show on one of London’s leading pirate stations Mac fm 92.7, which at the time had top Dj’s like Wesley J, Bradley M, Mc’s like Vision and Wicked. This was the turning point for Mr D-lo Brown, especially when he received a booking at Gas Club, a night called Back 2 Back. The night was packed with all the top names from the industry like EZ, Mike ’Ruff Cut’ Lloyd, Martin Larner, Dexter Rico, Don da Bomb, Noriss Da Boss, Skarkie P, Vision, Ricky D, CKP, Creed, Danger 18 K, Hyperactive!!! Just to mention a few.....
Soon Mac 92.7 fm joined forces with Ice 88.4 fm, which at the time was if not probably the biggest pirate station around. This was the step forward Mr D-lo Brown really desired to gain more respect from the scene, because you had to have some status to be on Ice 88.4 fm. Mr D-lo Brown was awarded a Saturday morning slot between 10- 12pm, occasionally covering for Bradley M between Saturday 4- 6pm, this is where he received a lot of his credibility from.
Shortly after Mr D-lo Brown obtained a telephone call from Ricky D, who was one of Ice 88.4 fm’s management. Ricky D explained to Mr D-lo Brown he was receiving a substantial amount of positive feed backs about his show, and wanted him to do a afternoon show Saturday’s between 2- 4pm. It seemed Mr D-lo Brown was really blessed as he was exalted every where he was.
At this point, Mr D-lo Brown had attained a level where he was a resident Dj across London, Leeds, Watford, Reading, Manchester, Birmingham, Bournmouth and Luton, working with top Dj’s and Mc’s in the industry. Finally the hard work had paid off, money was coming in large amounts!!!
Unfortunately Mr D-lo Brown’s progression took a U- turn when Ice fm decided to call it a day and sold the frequency off. I do believe it was sold to Norris Da Boss or Creed so I was informed. This was a devastating blow for Mr D-lo Brown as he was getting a lot of recognition. Mr D-lo Brown has since decided to concentrate on Masters of Ceremony across London town and surrounding Counties!!!
Mr D-lo Brown’s lyrical content and flows are second to none, very diverse and real. Girls, partying, life and vibes are many of Mr D-lo Brown’s lyrical contents. D-lo Brown is very influential, promotes nothing but PEACE and LOVE.
That’s why he’s one of the few MC’s breaking all levels of realism!!!
