Biography
DJ Elski first got into h&g back in 93-95 & then locked into Ice FM around 97 this is when his love for ukg got deeper by listening to DJ Double O who got him into djin. He then started DJin in 1998 getting his first records in cornwall, by 2000 he had secured a permanent slot on London based Jive FM. Once Jive left the airwaves he appeared on other stations until he joined Freeze FM in 2003. Since then he has become one of the biggest djs and most popular show on freeze due to his tune selection and hosting ability which he was influenced by the unique style of Ricky Dee from Ice FM. In 2006 saw DJ Elski come 4th in best newcommer in the musik4you awards. Aswell as djin on radio he has also dj'd & been on the flyer for big ukg events such as Garage Fever, Before, One Night Stand, Exposure, Twice As Nice, Garage Nation, Eskimo Dance, Pure Silk, Decades Of Oldskool + many more with all the top dj's & mc's in the game. In summer 09 Elski has a residency in Ayia Napa with MC Hyperactive.
On his freeze fm shows this present day he supports upfront uk garage across the spectrum due to the fact of there being 1000's of oldskool ukg shows on the dial and has a love for pushing new ukg. But Elski still has love for oldskool because without the old there would be no new & from time to time he will play a oldskool ukg show or old v new showcase. From the very beginning on his freeze shows he has given many new producers who are still about today there first airplays/platforms most notably Solution, Mr Pud, Duncan Powell, Scott Tonic(Kings Of Swing). His current tracklists include exclusive tracks from MJ Cole, Wideboys, Sunship, Delinquent, Qualifide, Kings Of Swing(Matt Jam) & other producers from the scene(see top friends to see who he is currently playing). He is still supporting the up n coming producers such as Meat & Drink, Fuzion, True, Gho$tman & Alessandro(again see top friends). If it's good music he will support it. He has even been known to play uk funky, house & dubstep on his shows. His shows are not just a hit live on air, they are recorded and uploaded most weeks and get high amounts of downloads by people on the forums, myspace, facebook, blogs etc. Again this is another way of Elski promoting new ukg to the masses
Aswell as djin, he produces with some of his tracks coming out soon on his own labels 42tf & mr men. He started up his own label 42tf sept 08 with the 1st release of the hit by kingring 'throw your fears away'featuring 5 big remixes exclusive to ukgmp3.co.uk. There is already plans too release another ep late oct/ nov with ukg remixes of ray issac 'freaky tonight'. Behind the 42tf label is the club event which started back in Aug 06 again spearheaded by Elski and has seen all the top ukg dj's such as Matt Jam, Charma, Kanga, Duncan Powell, Funky D, Kane, Listener&Pressure, Spin E B, Solution, Streaky & Mc's Sharky P, Majestic, Mysterious, Stam Dan, KAO + many more.
