"The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex" 1939,"The House of the Seven Gables" 1940,"The Song of Bernadette" 1943.Vincent is best remembered for his horror movies, however. Some notable examples are "The House of Wax" 1953, "The Fly" 1958 and "House on Haunted Hill" 1958. 1960 ushered in "House of Usher", which began Vincent's profitable association with American-International Pictures, Roger Corman and Edgar Allan Poe in the early 60's."The Abominable Dr. Phibes" 1971. He played "the spirit of the nightmare" in a 1975 "Alice Cooper: The Nightmare", not to mention his narration for Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video in 1982. "Tim Burton's film Vincent 1982 was immortality, better than a star on Hollywood Boulevard." He also inspired young filmmaker Tim Burton to create the stopmotion animation short (with partner Rich Heinricks) called Vincent 1982, about a boy obsessed with Vincent Price. Vincent was pleased with the result and agreed to narrate the film. Starting in the 1980s, he hosted the PBS series "Mystery" for several years. Russian count in "The Whales of August" 1987, as the inventor who brings the title character to life in Tim Burton's "Edward Scissorhands" 1990, starring Johnny Depp, and his final appearance was in the cable-TV movie "The Heart of Justice" 1993. Evanescence is an American Alternative rock band founded in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1998 by singer Amy Lee and former guitarist Ben Moody. After recording two private EPs, and a demo CD named Origin with the help of Bigwig Enterprises, the band released their first full-length album, Fallen, on the Wind-up Records label in 2003. Fallen sold more than 14 million copies worldwide and helped the band win two Grammy Awards. After abrupt changes to the band's lineup, Evanescence released their second studio album, The Open Door, in 2006. AC/DC are a hard rock band formed in Sydney, Australia in 1973 by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young. The band are considered pioneers of hard rock, alongside bands such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Black Sabbath. Its members, however, have always classified their music as "rock 'n' roll". AC/DC underwent several line-up changes before releasing their first album, High Voltage, in 1975. Membership remained stable until bassist Cliff Williams replaced Mark Evans in 1977. In 1979, the band recorded their highly successful album, Highway to Hell. Lead singer and co-songwriter Bon Scott died on February 19, 1980, after a night of heavy alcohol consumption. The group briefly considered disbanding, but soon ex-Geordie singer Brian Johnson was selected as Scott's replacement. Later that year, the band released their biggest-selling album, Back in Black. The band's next album, For Those About to Rock We Salute You, was also highly successful and was the first hard rock album to reach in the United States. AC/DC declined in popularity, however, soon after the departure of drummer Phil Rudd in 1983. Poor record sales continued until the release of The Razors Edge in 1990. Phil Rudd returned in 1994 and contributed to the band's 1995 album Ballbreaker. Stiff Upper Lip was released in 2000 and was well-received by critics. A new album is expected in 2007.AC/DC have sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, including more than 68 million albums in the U.S.Back in Black has sold 42 million units worldwide, including 21 million in the U.S.,making it the second-highest-selling album ever internationally, and the biggest-selling album by any band. The band are ranked fourth on VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock. Brothers Angus, Malcolm, and George Young were born in Glasgow, Scotland, and moved to Sydney, Australia with most of their family in 1963. George was the first to learn to play the guitar. He became a member of The Easybeats, Australia's most successful band of the 1960s. In 1966, they became the first local rock act to have an international hit, with the song "Friday On My Mind". Malcolm followed in George's footsteps by playing with a Newcastle, New South Wales band called The Velvet Underground (not to be confused with the New York-based Velvet Underground). ZZ Top is an American blues rock band formed in 1969 in Houston,Texas. The group members are Billy Gibbons (guitar and vocals),Dusty Hill (bass guitar and vocals), and Frank Beard (drums)(who is the only member with out a beard). They hold the distinction of being one of the few rock groups still composed of its original members after more than 35 years, and until September 2006,the same manager/producer, Bill Ham.They reached the peak of their commercial success in the 1970s and 1980s,scoring many hit songs during that era; but they remain together today and are still touring and releasing albums.ZZ Top was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 15, 2004.Summarizing their music,Cub Koda wrote,"As genuine roots musicians, they have few peers; Gibbons is one of America's finest blues guitarists working in the arena rock idiom.Hill and Beard provide the ultimate rhythm section support." Their song lyrics often feature sexual innuendo and humor.Gibbons and Hill are also famous for their nostalgic guitars, many of which were co-designed with master luthier John Bolin of Bolin Guitars.

Buried at PhotoCasket.com Marie Laveau (1794? - June 16, 1881?) was an American practitioner of voodoo.Very little is known with any certainty about the life of Marie Laveau. She is supposed to have been born in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana in 1794, the daughter of a white planter and a free Creole of Color (a multi-racial combination of African, Native American, and French (or Spanish). She married Jacques Paris, also a free Creole of color, on August 4, 1819; her marriage certificate is preserved in Saint Louis Cathedral in New Orleans.M. Paris died in 1820 under unexplained circumstances; after his death, Marie Laveau became a hairdresser who catered to wealthy white families. She took a lover, Luis Christopher Duminy de Glapion, with whom she lived until his death in 1835.Of her magical career, little definite can be said. She is said to have had a snake called Zombi. Oral traditions suggest that the occult part of her magic mixed Roman Catholic beliefs and saints with African spirits and religious concepts. It is also alleged that her feared magical powers came in fact from a network of informants in the households of the prominent that she developed while a hairdresser and that she owned her own brothel. She excelled at obtaining inside information on her wealthy patrons by apparently instilling fear in their servants whom she "cured" of mysterious ailments (Which she may have caused or suggested, a form of professional Munchausen syndrome). On June 16, 1881, the New Orleans newspapers announced that Marie Laveau had died. This is noteworthy if only because she continued to be seen in the town after her supposed demise. It is claimed that one of her daughters by M. Glapion assumed her name and carried on her magical practice after her death.According to the list of deaths recorded at RootsWeb.com, a certain Marie Glapion Lavau died on June 15, 1881, aged 98. The different spelling of the last name as well as the age at death may result from inaccuracies during entry of the cited text file. She is buried in Saint Louis Cemetery in New Orleans, in the Glapion family crypt. The tomb continues to attract visitors who draw three crosses (XXX) on its side, hoping that her spirit will grant them a wish. heya, you gotta see this great page for creating your own south park character

{Borrowed from www.http://en.wikipedia.org} Stephanie Lynn "Stevie" Nicks (born May 26, 1948) is an American singer and songwriter, best known for her work with Fleetwood Mac and a long solo career, which collectively has produced over twenty Top 40 hits. She is one of the few rock artists to maintain a solo career while remaining a member of a successful band. As a member of Fleetwood Mac, she was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.Nicks has even commented in interviews recently that she never would have dreamed that her trademark "Bella Donna/Witchy Woman" image would have been taken so seriously by her fans, often joking that she doesn't live her private life in her stage clothes and "Stevie garb" as many people seem to think. However, she greatly credits her career/stage image for its role in giving her a trademark that has made her unique and "timeless".One of the more persistent rumors which has trailed Nicks through the years is that she is a witch and is heavily involved in Wicca. While she admits to have a high regard for the mythic and gothic, she denies any solitary dedication to any one religion, including Wicca. She speaks about this erroneous image in a 2006 interview. Though her work is copyrighted under the name Welsh Witch Music, some allege that the name is a retrospective reference to the name Rhiannon and does not provide any proof or suggestion that Nicks, herself, is a witch, while others would disagree with this characterization and mention simply that the name speaks for itself. In a Yahoo interview on April 28 1998, Nicks said of the infamous rumor: "I have no idea what precipitated those rumors.I am not a witch. Get a life!" Of her lifestyle today, Nicks stated "I am a very different girl from the girl that was so wrapped up in rock and roll and the drugs and everything else. I'll never take it all for granted again, ever. Because I also now really realize how quickly that it can go, and that you can be the darling one year, and be nobody the next year. So you have to learn to accept and deal with that." (VH1 "Behind The Music, 1998) Alecia Beth Moore (born on September 8,1979), known professionally as Pink. An American singer-songwriter who gained prominence in 2000. Pink was born in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania to Vietnam veteran James Moore and nurse Judy Kugel. She is of Jewish ancestry on her mother's side, and is Irish, German and Lithuanian on her father's.She grew up in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, where she attended Central Bucks West High School. Her father played guitar and sang songs for her, and from an early age she aspired to be a rock star. Her parents divorced when she was seven years old. While in high school, Pink joined her first "official" band, Middle Ground, but the band never took off. According to Pink, her biggest influences are Janis Joplin, Steven Tyler, Bad Religion, Mary J. Blige, Bob Marley, Billy Joel, Indigo Girls, Don McLean, 2Pac, and The Notorious B.I.G.Pink developed her voice early on in her life. She is known for her unorthodox clothing fashion and harsh, yet soulful, sound. Her pop rock-influenced second studio album, Missundaztood, was released in 2001 and is her biggest seller to date, producing three top ten hits in the U.S. After taking a break, Pink released her fourth studio album, I'm Not Dead, in 2006. She has sold over twenty-five million albums.Pink dyes her hair frequently, but she is a natural blond. On The Ellen Degeneres Show she revealed that there are real diamonds attached to her teeth. Pink married motocross racer Carey Hart in Costa Rica on January 7, 2006. She proposed to him by holding up a sign for him to see during one of his races. www.bassgirl.com Rana Ross female Bass Player Quote "My memories were sometimes cool Fake I.D.'s, staying out all nite, got in some fights Skipped some school, broke all the rulesMy stepdad kidnapped my sister 1st love died from an O.D. Kelly, Aaliyah became famous during the mid-1990s with several hit records from the songwriting/production team of Missy Elliott and Timbaland, and their associate Steve "Static" Garrett. Books:

Selina M. Scott was born in New Jersey and grew up in the projects in the town of Long Branch. Since childhood she has kept a journal and has always been fond of poetry, and one of her dreams has always been to write a book full of it. You'll find in this book experiences of different parts of her life. Raised by a single mother in the "rougher" part of town, Selina has been fortunate enough to overcome the stereotype by living out this dream. You will find poems very personal and dear to her heart. This is her first published book and her first time sharing her poetry with the world. Selina has an eleven-year-old son, has been married for three years and currently lives in Ohio. Isn't it strange how princes and kings, and clowns that caper in sawdust rings, and common people, like you and me, are builders for eternity? Each is given a list of rules; a shapeless mass; a bag of tools. And each must fashion, ere life is flown, A stumbling block, or a Stepping-Stone.~R. Lee Sharpe "The soul secure in her existence smiles at the drawn dagger and defies its point. The stars shall fade away, the sun himself grow dim with age and nature sink in years, but thou shalt flourish in immortal youth, unhurt amid the war of elements, the wreck of matter and the crush of worlds." O thou, Who chariotest to their dark wintry bed The winged seeds, where they lie cold and low, Each like a corpse within its grave, until Thine azure sister of the spring shall blow Her clarion o'er the dreaming earth. - John Davies, 1570-1626, Ode to the West Wind.
