About Me

NOTICE TO MEN:
NO, I DON'T want to cyber, cam, talk dirty, or see you naked! There is only one man in my life, and it's not you.
I am an artist, a sensualist, a lover of life, who airbrushes bikes, helmets, and custom vinyl decals. I also create canvas brush art of natural subjects: dolphins, turtles, birds, single blossoms, as well as pet portraits and home portraits.
Motorcycles are a passion; my husband and I rebuild bikes into rolling art. Mermie, my "ocean" bike, has won numerous awards since Dec/05, including:
Top Runner Up at Biff Burger's Annual Toys for Tots Bike Show
Best of Show: Honda at Biff Burger's 9th Annual Bike of the Year show, 2006
My successes are meaningful to me because on April 4th, 2003, a man held a knife to my neck in my own store/gallery, robbed me, and my life changed forever. I fell into a black hole of depression, and it took a long time to crawl out. I still suffer from PTSD, so for me, taking the MSF course, passing it, and having so much public interaction at the bike shows and art shows has really helped to bring some of the old "me" back.I am grateful to be alive, and I have an intense awareness of things. Buildings, fruit, the stretch of a bird's wing, the way a leaf floats to the ground in a slight breeze, the color of the water during a pink sunset, or the quiet sound of raindrops on the leaves in a garden at night. I hear music in paintings. Seriously.
