The Pugweezy Is Here!!

About Me

The journey started in 1983 when I bought my first record which was "Planet Rock" by Africa Bambatta & the Soul Sonic Force...before that day I was listening to everyone from Adam & the Ants to The Human League to Yazoo to Kool & the Gang...But on that day my journey to look for the pefect beat began.I spent every penny on buying the latest imports from the top specialist shops like Groove Records,Bluebird Records & Hitman Records. My passion was Electro Funk and the whole new wave of electronic soul that had me in a spin..So as my collection grew my rep grew around my local area as the man who had the phattest tapes in the area.Soon my rep reached local DJ's ears and I was asked to play at local parties and club houses.I was given the name DJ Pugwash because a friend said I looked like the children's cartoon pirate of the same name and that kick started my career as a DJ. I progressed from local parties to local clubs and then to top London west end nightclubs. There are not many top London clubs I haven't played and through out the years I have played all over the UK as well as Ireland with some of the biggest names in the UK.One of my big breaks was when I joined a host of DJ's on a radio mix show called "Back to Black" which was aired in London(Choice FM), New York(WBLS) & Milan(Radio Centro Suave). The idea was to mix all the latest hip-hop & R&B with Soulful house in a non stop blend. My fellow DJ's included David Morales,C&C Music Factory,Benji Candilero & my now close friend Mr Sir Charles "Mixin" Dixon.I now still play at some of London's top clubs and have my own radio show on SKFM in North West London where my love of hip-hop & R&B has never died and I continue to look for the perfect beat and my journey I hope, is far from over....
