Born in Queens, New York, and raised in Bogota, Colombia, I started to play guitar at the age of 7 or 8. In my early teen years I went back and forth between guitar, bass and drums, but guitar was my passion, my "thing". Before coming back to the U.S I was a studio player in Bogota, and played with the local bands, Terron de suenos, Ciclope, Crash,Eugenia Galvis,Jimmy Salcedo y la Onda 3,Emilce, ana y Jaime, Cristopher, Claudia Osuna, Joe Madrid, Francisco Zumaque and the house band for La Cacerola, Dona Barbara, El Jazz, etc.I came to Los Angeles in 1978 and started playing with Little Caesar and the Romans, The Coasters, The Driffters, Joe Houston, The Platters, Mary Wells, and local rock bands. Later, became a top 40 player in the Los Angeles-Orange county area. I was on tour for 8 years with Grammy winner Vikki Carr, played with Symphony Orchestras all over the United States and visited about 13 countries and 3 years as the west coast sub with Grammy winners The Temptations, having opening acts like Sheena Easton, and The Four Tops. I worked with Franky Gaye (Marvin's brother), and appear and played on the MGM movie Penitentiary. I've also done studio work and live gigs with some of the best players in the world such as Justo Almario, Joe Rotondi, Otmaro Ruiz, Hugo Fattoruso, Bob Farrell, Tikki Pasillas, Michito Sanches, Mike Melvoin, D'Vaughn Pershing, Ritchie Gajata Garcia, Ramon Flores, Rick Braun, Albert Wing, Joe Heredia, Ramon Stagnaro, Rique Pantoja, Toni Banda, Ramon Banda, Guillermo Guzman,Thania Sanz, Russ Miller, John Ferraro, Scott Martin, etc, and appear on several CDs.I also play with the official K-Earth 101 band The Retro Boomers, Sangria, Down with 3, Soto, Angel Sabroso, Kaos, The Best Of Times, Ray and the Idols, L.A. Blue and LRS/Xposure. I also have a couple of CDs with my original songs.
And I can't think of anything else to add..................oh yeah, I love to play!!
