HISTORY:
Sound Resistance Productions is a merger of two projects in Vancouver. Sound Resistance Radio is a show committed to promoting anti-capitalist politics and music with a message. Ravenhymn Productions has been a small folk record label in Vancouver which has promoted numerous concerts. Sound Resistance Radio & Productions is a merger of these two projects into one radio show and music production machine. In doing this current and former members in both projects will share in one larger goal of promoting to a larger audience radical music and socially responsible thinking.
MISSION STATEMENT:
1.SR! is committed to promoting listenership and membership to CFRO Co-op Radio, 102.7FM (www.coopradio.org) in Vancouver and other non-profit community oriented radio stations.
2.SR! is committed to maintaining quality weekly radio programming which promotes socially responsible and anti-authoritarian messages.
3.SR! is committed to promoting local talent through its many tools, especially if they maintain an anti-authoritarian message in their act.
4.SR! is committed to promoting selected events and concerts in Vancouver. Sound Resistance is committed to programming special radio programming.
5.SR! intends to develop the capacity to record and distribute bands, acting as an independent record label.
