A Sunday afternoon happening – once a month, @ The Lark in the Park, Islington . And now also the last Friday night of every month as Club CHA!
Playlist: ECLECTIC. We like a lot of different styles of music, this is reflected in the bands we book and in the tunes we spin between them. We don't rule out any music by genre, but by the nature of the event being about relaxing on a Sunday afternoon - we encourage heavier (Punk, Psychobilly etc.) bands to think creatively and to come up with a stripped down or acoustic version of their show.
******************************************************Club ORANGE is not about being another faceless ‘indie’ club night – shoving as many acts on stage as can possibly fit into the time frame, just to try and increase door revenue. Club ORANGE is about Sunday afternoon chilling out in the pub with GREAT entertainment, atmosphere and food/drinks (at pub prices). Club ORANGE starts early for several reasons - not many people want to see live bands on a Sun night when they need to work Mon morning + most people don't need much of an excuse to enjoy the pub on a Sunday afternoon. Also Sunday afternoons are family friendly, meaning that younger people and other family members can (and should!) attend, creating a generally better atmosphere. (Tables can even be reserved in advance for Sunday lunch, if required - 0207 2785 781).
****************************************************** Booking Policy: We aim to book 2 or 3 bands maximum and a couple of interesting solo acts to perform short spots between bands. Bear in mind that we are open minded and would like to hear from not only musicians of all genres, but also from any comics/performers who can entertain a Sunday afternoon audience.
