This site is dedicated to my family and friends, music, music lovers, art, writers, poets, photographers, record companies, enlightened or interesting people or good causes, (you get the idea) so if this is you please add me as I appreciate your support/friendship and I will endeavour to get back to you ASAP. Best to leave a comment as I lose track otherwise.
Hmmm, what can I say? Have been playing Bass and guitar for many years and been in a number of relatively unknown (outside of the south coast of England) rock/blues bands. Fell in love with electronic music, particularly psy trance in the early 90's which led on to my working with a friend's (Marchello Bonifachi hope I got the spelling right) studio under the name of Encens. We released a few singles through Brighton based Koyote records in approx 1995, the most notable of my contributions being to Venus Zen which sold a few thousand copies. I have had my own computer based set up for a few years now and have many tracks written, in a number of different flavours, from reggae to trance to rock and ambient. My tastes are eclectic, I appreciate just about anything that is good.
There are many fantastic bands, musicians, producers, DJ's, artists, record companies, internet radio stations, right on peeps etc in my friends, so once you have had a listen to my stuff HaHaHa, do take some time and have a browse, I sure do!
Will update this as inspiration comes to me.
Tracks are changing now and again, so look me up occasionally, Peace, Love and Light, dharksthar.
Please feel free to leave any (preferably constructive) comments, your feedback would be much appreciated !!
Any unsigned bands/artists out there looking for a bit of internet radio exposure check out my long time buddy Phil Orange, or RiverGibbsfm in my top friends.
This is a brilliant idea, please support them!
Maybe if enough of us get together we can make a difference! Check out Musicians against the Bush New World Order. Click on the picture link below;

My Interests

Music:

Member Since: 1/23/2007
Band Website: In the pipeline.
Band Members: All tunes written, played and produced by dharksthar (Charlie) in what used to be my living room, with the help of some friends (credited below second player) and the internet community who supply so many wonderful free software synths and samples. I don't know who all of you are but many thanks. In time I hope to supply a list of the url's for my favourite synths and sites on my web site (awaiting construction). If you are a musician and like what what you hear, I would like to collaborate with others so please get in touch.

All this music is made using an AMD3200 computer with a Maudio delta 1010 soundcard, running a DAW and using a number of plugin synths and effects (mostly free ones, broke musician!). I also add live guitar (Aria TS600 through a Zoom 2020 multi effects peddle and occasional software guitar synth) occasional live Bass (Shergold Marathon) and samples that I find wherever.

Must also put in a quick plug for Computer Music Magazine, have learnt a lot of stuff about production, composition, best free synths, FX etc from these guys.
Influences: Hendrix, Caravan, Led Zep, Yes, Psy Trance, Tangerine Dream, Wishbone Ash, Hard House, Dark D and B, Frank Zappa, Arthur Brown, Bad Company, Rat, The Band, Small Faces(Oggdens Nutgold), Beatles, Moody Blues, Hot Tuna, Groundhogs, Ambient, Gentle Giant, Hatfield and the North, Brand X, Genises, Cream, P Floyd, Santana, Jeff Beck, White Noise, Spirit, Sex Pistols, Seventh Wave, Isotope, ELO, John Martyn (specially Solid Air), Home, Curved Air, Rush, 10cc, Todd Rungren, Little Feet, Ultra Vox, Atomic Rooster, Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane/Starship, Soft Machine, The Strawbs, Hawkwind, Folk (ie Shooglenifty, Show of hands, Hevia, The Fold Zydecommotion, and too many others to list.
