Hanna Burchell

MySpaceI am a singer/songwriter and have been on a continuous musical journey since 1980. My main insruments are guitar and voice, but also play mandolin, flute, piano and percussion. I have played in a variety of musical outfits ranging rom solo gigs, to an 8 piece band to a 30 piece monosyllabic choir, in styles as diverse as folk, acid jazz, Eastern European, celtic Rock, Asian and trad jazz. Currently, I am a member of a folk rock group called The Fold. (www.thefold.co.uk), part of a duo named Hanna and magdalena (www.hannaandmagdalena.com) and continue to perform, as a solo artist. Have recently been out and about doing gigs with Matt, guitar and bass virtuoso who has done some groovy playing on my new solo album which will be out soon. As for genre, if i were to make one up would be soulful folk, with a touch of funk!
