The Tibetan Book of the Pigs

It all started last year as part of the first update of the Pink Pig Project. The Tibetan Book of the Pigs was born in 2006 with the idea to form the band of all bands and more: the band of all people, the band encyclopaedia. The intention is to make this band larger and larger, wider and wider: millions of band members from all over the world with millions of songs available for free at the web page and countless live performances around the world with a different live line up each time, unpredictable to the impossible, ruled by an anarchic spirit and a sense of community at the same time.The band will sound to everything: from pop to jazz, electronic to gregorian chants, from spoken word to abstract music, from farting to tango, from screaming to theatre, from a to z.We intend that every musician of any kind in the world take part of the same band besides their own projects. And the final intention is that every human being, musician or not, becomes a band member. But: how you become a member of The Tibetan Book of the Pigs? Easy: record and submit a song (of any kind, any genre, in any language if sang, any lenght; every sound fits in our conception of song: from a perfect pop one to a baby screaming or the noise of a mum cooking breakfast) and you´ll be part of the band forever. All songs will have the same title and all people will be in the same band. Please go to the blog entries for all the information about the project (there you can find all the band´s axioms and you can read all about on how to join the band) and visit the web site for full coverage and to listen to all the songs available at the time. Soon we´ll be launching collective activities (sinchronized recordings all around the world, multiple collaborations between members, etc. etc.), now please just read the blog entries and join the band as soon as possible. All depends of you all: if we all get involved the project will turn big, unpredictable and extremely fun. We can build some unique out of this. If you read the last blog entry you will know that on January 1st 2008 the project will be launched to the world through "a unique and revelating artifact". After that, the live debut of the band will take place in the five continents. So hurry up and join The Tibetan Book of the Pigs: your song shall be in the repertoire and you must be part of any live line-up!NOTE: the four songs you can listen to at this MySpace site are just a small sample of all the songs recorded for the project at the present time. Each and every song of The Tibetan Book of the Pigs will be available for listening and downloading freely at the proper band´s website once the launching take place in January 2008. At the moment all of the songs will appear randomly on this MySpace corner.We must add that the band´s activities will never have any purpose of lucre and if eventually the money happens the whole of it will be donated to hospitals for sick children.
